well work went smoother then i thought it might today, and am off to monday, will pprobably do nothing special for new years, never do, more often then not i'm in bed and asleep before midnight....just not an event that has any meaning at all as far as i'm concerned, have been fiddling with the color s on the message board....if you'd like go over and tell me what you think....(here)....i've had that board for 7 or 8 months now and really hasn't been used much....but then i've really not pushed it....just there if some one what's an extended discussion......

NUTS originally it looked like i could take a vacation day tomorrow, then it turned into a half day work, half day vacation....now it looks like all day work......ah well....i got 4 off in a row any how but i'm really tired tonight...today was a mad house and i didn't get done a lot i needed to.....daughter stopped by for dinner....her birthday....nice evening...i'm gone

wild day at work, was going to take wednesday off but i have to take a "roadtrip" to check out some equipment that's being loaded with some of our material for africa, hopefully i can get that done in the AM and take the afternoon off but i doubt it....i really didn't have the desire to work today and just muddled thru.....was a warm day, very atypical for this time of year, am tired and outa here

quiet day, have watched a little tube, james bond marathon on spike tv.....did go out to the mall and bought nothing....actually i probably "window shop" more then i actually shop....that of course implies buying which i do only after much checking.....i guess a habit i picked up from mom ( i mentioned her shopping habits in a recent post).....any way have spent most of the day playing stronghold-crusader which i got for christmas and listening to the other cds i bought....i'd love to try out the new golf clubs but it's just too dang cold out and my ceilings aren't high enough....have to go back to work monday....have enjoyed the down time....christmas was a flip of the coin but the time off was great....bah humbug.....and if any ghosts of christmas what ever try to pester me i'll sick my cats on 'um.....

the gift cards and so on were burning a hole in my pocket so to speak...so casting aside rational thought i went to the mall to spend my loot....was shocked...traffic as not bad...must have hit it at the right time....got 5 cds and a reference book on html at borders, with the exception of a recording of respighi everything else was either chant or elizabethan,,,,have just really got into the early music within the last year or so......then on to dick's sporting goods.....was going to buy a new putter and then just see if anything else just jumped up and bit me....i thought maybe new shoes....old ones are fine but leather and thought something a little lighter for summer would be cool...maybe so balls or even a new bag....the last thing on my mind was a new driver......but guess what i ended up with....you guessed it a new driver....the had a really good price on an older model adams....in 11.5 degrees of loft....i've wanted to try a driver in that loft range for a long time.....it's kind of a "senor" loft......helps you get it up a little quicker ( trollie re-reads and realizes that he better make sure everyone knows he's talking about a golf ball.......) also less likely to slice or hook severely.....anyways although i've never really thought about getting an adams just because it's an adams....the loft was what i wanted and it fits my eye....it's only a 303 cubic cm which is a bit smaller then the monster i've been using but still large compared to the older style drivers.......i still got a bit of money to spend so may still end up with a new pair of spikes......

well just back from the family get together and my obligations for christmas are passed and done....it's not that i get depressed this time of year...merely bored....in many ways christmas has evolved into a holiday for the young....and i can't seem to generate any emotion at all for it anymore.....not the religious meaning but the hoopla that it has become.....i guess old fuddy-duddy trollie should just stay under the bridge this time of year but one needs to attend to what is expected....at least some of the time

well let's see, a shirt here, a PC game there, and over there 2 doz. golf balls, well the shirt was technically for me birth, and the rest just a pile of cash and gift cards to borders or dick's sporting goods or the mall, trollie has already spent all of it in his head over and over.....i guess most peolpe have just given up trying to figure out what to get me.....and that's okay....i can be picky about certain things....like music, books and golf equipment.....and that's about the sum total of my hobbies so i like the option of getting things myself.....as a kid i always loved to get clothes for christmas and birthdays....weird as that may sound but it meant that i didn't have to go shopping with my mother....now don't get me wrong mom was a peach but shopping with her was a nightmare.....you'd go to 9 different stories....try on a 100 different out fits and then go back to the first place and buy the first thing you tried on....i loved her but......more then a kid can take.......still have to go to sis' tonight and get together with my sibs and their families.....always unpredictable....but always a challenge.....

went to the traditional candle light christmas eve service and then to my daughter's for a late supper and gifts....nice evening but i left early as i was very uncomfortable, weather has been very damp and i was cramping in the legs something awful...need to take a warm, make that hot bath and try to loosen up.....busy day tomorrow visiting relatives....really would just like to veg but one must......

i'm sitting here waiting for the work day to end, wasn't bad , actually the easiest day i've had in weeks, need to work tomorrow and then 4 off in a row, 3 days next week (maybe....might not work wednesday) and then 4 more off....i need the time off and the rest....don't need the holiday cheer but that i can ignore....bah humbug.....

i had a totally insane day at work today, just busy all day and although i got a lot done am almost farther behind then when i started, tomorrow looks busy also but should be able to catch up wednesday, none of the trucking or package companies are working so i should get a lot of the little things i've been putting off done....really would rather take the day off but must catch up or be buried under....have spent a quiet night....i needed one....

i have been a bad boy, i've ignored my blog all day, usually i'll post several times on weekend days but the day is gone and no post til now, woke up this morning to a surprise 6" of snow and rather nasty weather, wind was a blowing...need to get out early as we were doing the cantata in church this AM, the two teenaged kids of the choir director were in a car accident on the way to church, apparently they flip a van 3 times in very slippery conditions but were ok except for a possible concussion for one of them....cantata went ok and i've been just vegging the rest of the day.....well got 3 days work and then four days off......really neutral about christmas but stoked about the 4 days off....old enough that santa has crossed me off his list permanent.....or bad enough.....flip a coin on that one

after further review, i've decided not to trust the auto-ping function and start pinging manually again........it just doesn;t seem to work everytime and that has become frustrating....got both loads in and taken care of and then decided to finish up my christmas shopping...big mistake....traffic as awful....unfortunately almost all of the big stories and the mall are on the same street....man what a mess....mall wasn't too bad but the traffic.....

well it's the end of the work week, yah right, we had a supply delay and i've got two loads coming in tomorrow plus i have to dump production numbers in the computer system and i have a rehearsal tomorrow morning as well....if everything runs right i should be able to do everything....yah right....if everything had run right the loads would already be in....one of the weeks everything is going to go as planned and i'll probably drop dead from the shock of it....need to do some christmas shopping tomorrow, actually it's a bit early for me...i always wait til 2 or 3 days before but i have to work right up to the 24th....so maybe i'll start early this year....was going to do it tonight but just was to tired to come home and change and then go back out, really too scruffy after work to go cruisin' the mall.......

tis thursday, and no survivor to watch, well they probably got some silly after the fact thing on....or footage you never saw on...but right now who cares...this one was a let down.....winner was not really a winner but the one person who didn't lose.....can't really say she won as much as everyone else lost....really a let down....but then many of them have been....but i'll still watch....
got a little wet snow over night and lake effect is in the area but probably will go below us....but then all the wind has to do is shift just a little and whammo......

i've come to the conclusion that the auto-ping is not working everytime....which means that i need to start manual pinging again.....i think that you have to register with the local authorities if your a known manual pinger.....need to check that out.......

i woke up this morning to high 30'sF and rain and this evening it's high 20's and snow, it seems that someone is running a program which illustrates all the possible weather combinations that are possible in northern NY this time of year....truly weird....today was a nightmare at work and tomorrow promises to be more of the same, i feel like i'm being pulled in 7 directions all at the same time......would like to just chill tonight ( that might be a bad choice of words) how about i'd like to just hang loose ( even worse....plus it dates me).....how about the simple just stay home.....but need to go to a rehearsal....ah well......

northcountry weather is going to deprive (or is that deprave) me of what little i have left of my sanity....we got about 18" of snow between sunday afternoon and monday morning....i got up this morning it was 3*F.....by this afternoon it was in the middle 40'sF....and we're supposed to get rain this evening.......if there is humor in all of this i fail to see it......i wish it would just make up it's mind....this yo-yo effect is driving my arthritis crazy......

well the weatherman was wrong, we didn't get 12" of snow, we got closer to 18", and some of the outlying areas got 24"+, well not that the city i living couldn't be described as an outlying area, but at 30k it does qualify as a city, but is more like a crossroads village that got big....

i went out about an hour ago and discovered that there was more snow then i thought, about 6", so to stay ahead of the game i ran the snow blower, we get too much snow up here and i'm too old to shovel that white ____, it's probably snowed an inch or two since i blew the snow but i don't like to let it get too far ahead of me, the blower will handle more then 6" but it's too much like work for me...will keep an eye on it.....would like to finish the job tonight if the snow stops so i don't have to get up too early tomorrow

well i don't know, they have been predicting that we would get a foot of snow this afternoon (does anybody know who they are i've often wondered)...and it has been snowing for about 3 hours now, but not very hard, we have maybe 3 or 4 inches of snow at the moment....but weathermen are the only people i know that get paid for being right less then 1/2 the time, but in their defense, being in a lake effect snow zone, it really is hard to predict, the bans of snow are not very wide and the change of wind direction by just a few degrees will have the effect of the storm missing any given location....so while it doesn't look like we are going to get the foot promised somebody along the lake might....actually feel much better today, have gotten caught up a little on rest, and stress level is down.......

about 1:30 this afternoon the craziness of the last two weeks both in and out of work finally caught up with me and i just crashed out, energy was near zero and i just went through the rest of the day by instinct...was planning on going out to night but just stopped and bought a few things and am in for the night, i need to work briefly tomorrow but the rest of the weekend is pretty much clear so maybe i'll get rested up, am feeling a little better now but still am just dog tired, in fact i doubt this post will make much sense because i think i may be more tired mentally then physically...

i feel like i've been "drug through a knot hole backwards"......had an inbound and an outbound today and it was raining cats and dogs and i gots soaked to the skin, and the temperature is in the high 30's to low 40's F.....i think i'm going to take it really easy tonight, maybe go to bed early....have another heavy day tomorrow......

i am sitting here tonight trying to think through the "fog" that has my mind socked in, i am both physically and mental exhausted tonight, i need a break but really will have no chance to take any extra time before year end, lots of vacation time left (thankfully i can roll it over) but no real chance to take any, we've ramped up unexpectedly and i've got to sit on the incoming materials orders to make sure they arrive in time, had to bump up a few dates but so far so go....nothing critical will run out, anyhow just feel lousy tonight....rehearsal was a blur, i know i was there and that's about all i can say, went through it on auto-pilot.....voice is showing the ware and tare from the weekend...have another rehearsal tomorrow and then will probably just veg thrusday.........

frustrating day at work today, well let's face it most days are, actually on a scale of 1 to 10 this one probably didn't rate more then a 4.3, just was busy all day but at days end had actually accomplished very little, got a whole bunch of stuff started but really got nothing finished, am still pretty tired from the weekend eventhough i got a fair nights sleep last night.....will try to hit the sack early tonight and try to get caught up on my rest, i'm pathetic...i have been performing in front of audiences for 50+ years and i still get pre-performance jitters, nothing debilitating but i think they help me focus, keeps me up, the few times i haven't had any it's turned into a disaster, i guess the pre-jitters are just part of me getting ready....but i was really wired yesterday....been a while since i've had them that bad....but everything went well.....but afterwards i tend to crash out and get very tired...needless to say the voice is pretty well used up....but really isn't as bad as it sometimes is.......but i wouldn't trade the experience for anything....

and i thought the crowd last night was big, the audience for this afternoon's performance was SRO.....problem is that we are already in the largest available facility in the area....well that's not quite true....we're in the largest facility in the area that has a pipe organ.....and that's a biggie.....if your going to do music of the type that we do...and at the level we do it ....you need a pipe organ......but it was really fun again...i think we may have been just a little better last night....not that there were any major goofs, but i think we were just a little sharper, last night....but both went smoothly......i'm glad that's it's over....i'm glad to have my sunday afternoons back.....but i can't wait for next fall to do it all over again....we did 4 pieces by
paul halley....one of the neat things about next years....which will be the 50th year for NCC is that we will be commissioning a work by paul halley for us to perform....and he will also be at the concert and perform with us......i've never been involved in any way with a "world premier" so that will really be fun.......

i am in between final rehearsal and the concert, while not a disaster the final rehearsal was, well pretty worthless...a lot of time was wasted on, while non-essentials, lord protect us from anal retentive directors, i think there should be a national registry for anal retentive people, they have to register with the police before they move into a new neighborhood.....their are way to dangerous to let their presence go unreported, on the other hand they do seem to identify themselves at all the wrong times.....there's an old tradition that the better the final rehearsal the worse the performance is, well based on the weirdness this afternoon it should at least run smoothly.........neeed to think about getting dressed and outa here...concert is not untilk 7:30, and i need to be there by 6:45, but i always like to get there about 45 minutes before that, just relax and hang out.....besides the parking is an issue and i have to park quite a ways away at "hike" in....so must get dressed and go sing my brains out.........

man am i zonked tonight, was on a dead run all day at work, got in this AM and discovered that i had a full load scheduled that i was unaware of and had therefore done none of the setup for, and the day went down hill from there, i was exhausted by the end of the day but had some errands that needed doing tonight, oil change, gas the car and get a jug of washer fluid for the car, i've only been forgetting to fill the reservoir for about the last three months, yah i know great memory, well they say with age the second thing to go is your memory, and i can't for the life of me remember what the first thing is, but with the advent of the winter season and all the dirt that gets kicked on the windshield, it's becomes easy to remember, i couldn't see squat through it today, normally i would have come home and got cleaned up and gone back out, but i just went straight from work because i knew if i went home i'd just stay there, got everything done in about 40 minutes, got drive thru and came home, have a busy day tomorrow with the christmas concert and would like to sleep in tomorrow but production is working tomorrow so i need to go in for at least an hour or so......nuts......cold is still with me but i think i will resort to the old stand by for the concerts and add a little lemon juice to my water bottle....that helps to keep the cords clear and tight.....well i off to surf....now that's funny i ran spell check for the above post and of course the thing didn't recognize "zonked" but one of the suggestions was "zionist".....ah computers

today at work was absolutely wild, have a bunch of stuff to catch up with tomorrow and looks like probably will have to go in for a couple of hours saturday morning....that and basically the rest of the day is shot with ncc rehearsal and concert need to store up some peace and quiet the next two evenings.....just vegged out tonight, watched a little tube, played a little pc game, and watched survivor....Categorically this is the dumbest set of people who ever played the game...there are two who have lied to everyone the whole game but people keep believing them....man P T Barnum would have had a riot with those bozos.....ah well....a little warmer today....had a nice chat with a driver i haven't seen in about a year and also lost sometime to a sales call today, the call was helpful but really could have used the time it took to better advantage...really need to hit the ground running tomorrow but it's been one of those weeks where it seems every day is filled with "flypaper"....i keep getting stuck on a job that i just can't seem to get finished....today had a nagging computer problem, a dead phone at the warehouse.....and the funny times just keep rolling in...and the hits keep coming......

it's been unusually cold for the last few days, we've been running several degrees below normal for this time of year, on the bright side the high pressure system that has brought with it the cold, also is keeping the snow that the rest of the state has been getting below us, we've got just a tarce, but one of the drivers i talked to today that lives down near the 'cuse says they got 6-8" overnight, really didn't feel like going to choir tonight but did anyway, i haven't hasd amn entire night home since saturday, and i'm getting a little worn out....work has been jumping....and this weekend will be a blur with the NCC concerts bith saturday and sunday....but then i'll get some of my sunday back to just kick back so that will be goog.....

i "created" a character for blogshares...the mad trollie....which with the end of that i can't bring myself to part with....not sure as of yet whether i will just incorporate and occasional visit from the mad one here or if i might give him his own blog..........must give it some thought

bitter, cold day...a little fresh snow, but not a problem....need to get cleaned up and head off to a rehearsal in about 10 minutes but thought i'd post now as i think i'll be too tired to do it later....crazy day at work...actually the last two have been pretty wild....but am pretty close to be caught up....nothing much to report otherwise....i've been thinking about the demise of blogshares...and need to find a few other places to list my blog...i got a lot of hits off of blogshares, especially after i managed to get in the top 25 or so on the richest players list....need to find another game to play as well...but not tonight...pratice is calling

well i've spent a little time fiddling with the blog, removing the blogshares button, and cleaning up a few other details, haven't done that for awhile.....well with blogshares gone maybe i'll spend a little more time on the blog....really has been static design wise for some time, ....need to make a call at a funeral home tonight, a person whom i've had contact with for some 20 years through work, her father died suddenly, and i need to go "pay my respects".....lord there are times that my choice of phrasing really gives my age away.....

well i was afraid that this would happen, and i will miss the game, but it was fun while it lasted.....

cold is almost gone, knock wood ( trollie raps knuckles on his head), voice is still a little shaky on the high notes but feels pretty good, had a good rehearsal today for NCC, but have a bit of a problem, actually have two rehearsals scheduled for 7 pm tuesday, but talked to J and will take the week off from worship team.....with a NCC rehearsal both tuesday and saturday afternoon, and the 2 performances, saturday evening and sunday afternoon that will be enough of a work out for my voice.....particularly as i am just getting over this cold and still not 100%.....blogshares is still done....and i'm getting a quick refusal when i try to connect.....doesn't sound good....as we all know things have a nasty habit out here in internet land of just going poof!!!!, now you see it . now you don't....have a heavy day tomorrow so i'm off........

it's been a cold blustery day up here in the north country. originally they had predicted heavy snow, which they changed to moderate, but so far i would describe it as a dusting, we've got just a few inches, or rather a couple of inches would be more accurate, and tomorrow has been now updated to snow changing to rain, not that i really want either but i'll take the rain, because A- i live on high ground and B- you don't have to shovel rain....well i do have a snow blower but you get the picture.....blogshares is still down....this is the longest outage i can remember....rats....cold is almost gone but i got a twinge out of my back earlier, i'm embarrassed to admit as i was standing up off the throne.....really weird...you would have thought being lighter then when i sat down there would have been less pressure on the back.....truth is i think it's the weather change....and then my back does go out from time to time....feels better now but it still is a bit sore........off to watch the bond marathon on spike tv........

it's a quiet, i haven't done a dang thing all day day...well not entirely true...went out and bought a few things....had a craving for white clam sauce and am to lazy to make my own, so bought a can but have spent most of the day watching the monster garage marathon on discovery....bummed out because blogshares has been done most of the day...have a whole day to play and it ain't there....ah well....feel good today, the cold is still hangin' on a little but otherwise feel good......made the mistake of going out arsenal street today....main shopping area in town....traffic was wild, so decided to take the back way home.....it's been rain cats and dogs today and forgot about the one low spot in the back way out of the plaza without storm drains.....oh boy.....i hit what i thought was a low puddle which turned out to be about 2 foot of standing water.....must of looked like a hydroplane with the rooster tail i shot up....but got through with out a problem.......ah well.....
i am slowly teaching this spell check my rather slang form of english but i really wish i could program it to learn that i never, well almost never use caps.......

quiet day, had a nice dinner, neighbors and inlaws....daughter and her hubby dropped by for dessert.....brought a video the the martial arts class that they attend made, it was funny watching her throw her hubby all over the place, i haven't seen her do the martial arts for about a year, she's improved greatly....purple belt.....also received her masters degree in reading......with just under a 4.0 cumm......otherwise a restfully day......

really long day at work, spent about 5 and 1/2 hours on one project, a rather complicated overseas shipment and when i was about 15 minutes from getting it done got a message that the might be adding to it....ah well....i have room on a couple of the pallets so that won't be too bad...it could be worse...the could be taking something off...and that has happened once or twice...and believe me you don't want to be within a 100 miles of the old trollie if that happens...we got about an inch of snow on the ground right now....which isn't really any problem at all....have one more day to work this week and tomorrow should be a relatively quiet day....production has the day off so maybe i'll get caught up...have a few things from today that didn't get done and a few housekeeping chores that i haven't got to...looking forward to the 4 day weekend....oops....i've been talking about the 4 day weekend like the typical ugly american trollie, assuming everyone knows why....thursday is thanksgiving in the US....and friday is also a traditional day off...the start of the christmas shopping season...and one of the busiest retail shopping days of the year....trollie stays home that day....

well that was different, i tried to post earlier and blogger was not available....that's the first time i got a can't find screen for blogger in a long time, it's really been stable for the last 4 or 5 months......i've been thinking of maybe starting another blog....but a password protected one that only selected of my web-buds have access to, there are things sometimes that i want to post, get off my chest as it were but would rather not have the world know....had a frustrating day at work.....just nit picky stuff were the timing just hasn't worked out right and in order to put it right will require a special effort...sometimes everything works the way you want it to, but most of the time....oh well......have actually felt a lot better today but i sound like i'm on my last legs...voice is horse and raspy.....and i got a fair amount of drainage but feel ok...need to get some sleep and i'll be okay.....2 more days and i'm off for 4.....yahoo......aggie just wandered in with her little i'm lonely cry.....not that anything can truly be called little on a 15 pound house cat...so i'd best sign off...don't try posting to your blog when a 15 pound cat is on your lap trying to butt type....it ain't pretty

boy did i wake up feeling lousy this morning, i have a major head cold and it also has effected my voice, all that garbage doing the dip dip dip into my throat, well got through teaching and church but had not high notes....just not there so skipped NCC....would have been a waste of time and besides i felt lousy...felt better this evening and just need to get through 3 days this week and then have a 4 day weekend....which i need...have somethings i would like to say but have not the words nor in the mood to say them....will probably write more over next week end.....

The Presidents Cup i've been following the cup matches this week, US got shelled today but the real irksome thing is that one of the networks has 6 hours of coverage....every hole every shot...sweet but the irksome thing is the lead advertiser....a new Chrysler mini-van...they only got one dang commercial for the silly thing...so every commercial break you see they same dang ad....sheeeshhhh!!!!!!!

spent a good piece of the day working on getting samples ready to ship overseas for the above foundation, it was founded by the fellow who started the company i work for and we do the shipping for them, it (through relief agencies and the like) sends watering kits to third world countries to help families grow vegies

i still don't feel A1, first class but feel much better then yesterday, dried out this afternoon so the arthritis isn't quite as bad, but trollie's tum-tum still is a little flippy......watched survivor...and for the first time in a while actually figured out who would be voted out...i tend to always guess wrong...put my own logic/feelings into it and not really see it from the other side...but then some of the choice people make on that show...they need to have their head examined....or possibly need a head....anywho....one more day of work and i'm outa there for the weekend.....

trollie is under the weather today...i can't figure out if i have a cold or a mild case of the flu or a combination of the two but i feel rotten, well i've always been rotten to the core but that is an assessment of my mental state not my physical state which we are presently discussing....made it through work but just barely...skipped choir tonight but i have no voice and could not see the value of sitting there, not singing and infecting everyone else, now there are i few people that i would quite willingly infect but none of them in the choir.....rainy and windy again today which has got my arthritis going and that is contributing to my general feeling of "bluck"....yah i know i've invented a word but pronounce it phonetically and you'll get the picture......

very strange weather for this time of year, it was in the lower 50's today and very windy....not the windy is unusual but the temperature is...and they say (i've always wondered who they were) that we might get as much as 2 inches of rain over the next 24 hours.....well the one good thing is that that much rain would equal about 2+ feet of snow so i'm glad that it is warm, voice is shot tonight, had a good rehearsal but no voice left, i have been using it a bit freely of late and have a touch of a cold, or possibly a bit of the flu, but then as changeable as the weather has been i should not wonder..could be a busy day tomorrow and i need my rest...really have not slept well again for about a week but the arthritis and the sore joints makes it hard to find a comfortable position....that and nightly visits from my 3 cats....

i'm having one of those days today, my mind seems to be everywhere but where i happen to be at any given moment...it seems to have a great sense of wunderlust today and if anyone can locate it and send it home to me i would really appreciate it....i try to concentrate on something...anything and my mind just seems to wander off...and i find it difficult to write anything at all....one of those nights that i'm glad i have spell check or this post would probably look like it was written in sanskrit..........i'm impressed spell check actually recognizes sanskrit....not the language of course but the word....it doesn't recognize "blogger" even though it's supplied by blogger but in recognizes sanskrit....i'm sure there is a lesson to be learned from that but for the life of me i'm too foggy to ascertain it

wow i've sat way too much today....and with the arthritis kicking up i feel like somebody has poured quick drying cement into most of my joints...need to get a hot bath and some IB's and see if i can loosen up a little before bed or i probably will not get much sleep tonight
i know i should just ignore the spam emails but sometimes i just got to look at them....got a really beaut today...wanted to know if i wanted to lose 3 dress sizes before christmas....now i might need to lose a pound or twenty but 3 dress sizes.....then i'd have to buy a new wardrobe.....besides how did they know (trollie clears voice and starts singing " i'm a lumberjack and i'm okay........)

today has been a rough day physically for me, i have problems with my arthritis particularly when the weather is changeable, or during the change of seasons.....fall to winter....winter to spring....i was so stiff when i awoke this morning that i could not get my one wrist to function properly....but took a few IB's and got thru the day...really busy this morning but got thru it and it calmed down in the afternoon...have kicked back and relaxed this evening....how be it a bit mindless...i actually watched bloodsport II on the tube.....very enlightening entertainment.....( ho boy).......Plan to just veg tomorrow....need to take a very hot bath tonight...that usually helps to relieve the stiff and sore joints....

oh what a lovely day we've had today, 45mph winds with gusts to 60mph......rain, mixed with snow and sleet and the kitchen sink i think....and we were lucky...the brunt og the storm went below us....which is kind of odd but the wind was out of the WNW....which is unusual for this time of year so the effect of the lake on the storm didn't hit us....now if the wind is out of the WSW then you may not here from me for days....i'd probably have to shovel snow out of the computer room to get to it......ok maybe not that bad but..........haver a busy day tomorrow and am tired.....haven't slept well the last two or three nights....but haven't gone to bed early enough either.......

weird work day....i was busy all day....not flat out but busy and really didn't accomplish much of note...spent the day fiddling with small projects.....had a cracker of a thunder storm earlier and it's supposed to turn cold and we should get some snow tomorrow...in fact there is a winter storm advisory they tell me....thunder rattled the house a little and my cats more.....the different reactions are a riot.....lilly cuddles.....aggie hides under the bed and smokie gets in a window and watches the storm.....of course i've always thought smokie was probably brain dead but she is a lovable little scamp...

a cold miserable day...and rainy too.....work day wasn't too bad and although i started the day feeling a little punk by quitting time felt much better.....isn't that funny the way that happens........no rehearsal tonight.....made some shrimp salad for supper.....could never do that when my cat jenny was alive....if i made pasta and didn't open a can of tuna i was in deep trouble.....and if i didn't leave enough in the bottom of the can...i was in even deeper trouble....i can still see that little scamp pushing the tin all over the floor and cleaning very visible morsel out of it....and a plague on them if one of the other cats interfered......that cat dearly loved tuna.......watched the all blacks beat south africa in the 1/4 finals of the rugby world cup......well time for bed......

man did i wake up in a fog this morning, i hate to admit it but i'm not as young as i used to be and something has to go on sunday....just too much for this old man to handle...on the bright side i've only got about 5 more weeks of NCC before the concert so i guess i'll just tuff it out.....and the truth is i can't choose....everything is something i want to do....enjoy doing....rats.......thankfully had an easy work day but tomorrow promises to be fairly busy....should be getting to bed but mind is not ready to be shut off......watched monster garage which i think is a neat show....really have gotten hooked to it.....which is weird in a way because i'm not a motor head....but like the show....oh and if i'm not busy enough with the music i got an offer to sing with a garage band....50's and 60's stuff...might check it out after the new year....have never sung with a group like that...and sounds like it could be a gas......night all

another cold but clear day here....very busy and i'm really tired but mind is in a whirl so will probably stay up a while...managed to get a deal in blogshares to push IG over the billion dollar mark .......had an enjoyable day...voice is shot right now but still had a great day....the composer of three of the pieces we're doing for the christmas concert was at the rehearsal today and we got to run thru them with him at the piano....really a great guy....neat music....first rehearsal with the children's choir as well....but am really too tired to make much sense here so will say goodnight

it's late and i'm tired and i should be tucked into my little bed, but i'm still the trollie that wanders in the night, had an easy day at work today, needed one.....went to get a snack earlier and realized that i was out of milk...not a big deal from my point of view but a huge problem from the point of view of my one cat, who was standing there waiting for her nightly splash of milk....and "crying" ....well i went out and got some milk....when i got back home there she was in the kitchen...staring at her empty dish....seeshhhh!!!!!....i'm too easy........

finished up getting caught up at work, was warm today but has turned cold this evening....watched survivor tonight, i can believe how often that game turns on a stupid decision by a weak player who has no chance of winning but really is in control and makes a bonehead call that will send them home quicker....some of those players are 5 watt light bulbs.....also watched some rugby....and the local boys class A soccer finals..all while sitting in a chair with two cats perched at awkward spots....i now have a sore back......looking forward to the weekend......i need the rest.......

it was a nice warm day today, was overcast and rained a little but was quite warm, for november, i actually had a reasonable day today....was busy all day but not with new work, with catching up with what has gone undone...still have one more thing to do and i'll be even with the 8-ball....i can never get ahead....not the nature of my job....but to be even would be nice.....but then i'm sure that evryone would thing i have nothing to do and load another 5 jobs on me......feel pretty good tonight, had a good choir rehearsal andam looking forward to the next to evenings with nothing scheduked when i can just kick back......

another crazy day, not quite as bad as yesterday but bad enough, was dead tired when i got home but after dinner felt much better, had a good rehearsal tonight, and tomorrow looks pretty easy so maybe will have time to play so catch up with what i've left un-done so far, weather is nuts as usual this time of year, should be in the 60's tomorrow but snow this weekend, it's a wonder we don't crack from the temperature swings.......

my dad has always said after a tough day " my mommy told me i'd have days like this....but not everyday"....well my mommy never told me i'd have a day like today.....mommy would not have used the only proper language to describe this day, and i don't think i'll use it either. i am so far behind after the craziness of today i may actually have lapped myself in reverse and be a head......and tomorrow promises to be almost as bad as today, all though short of the world coming to an end i don't think it could be worse......not to mention the weather which is cold and rainy and total bumming me out.......
on the bright side it's the 3rd of november and we don't have snow yet, i still need to cover some of my roses for winter but it was warm saturday and i hate doing it when it's warm, i still have flowers on some of the bushes....

tired, exhausted, nothing to say...night all

it's been a very nice relaxing day, boy did i need it, i'm sitting here with a glass of sweet wine, and a little britten in the cd player, well let's be honest, the young people's guide to the orchestra really can't be described as little but ah well anyhow...got up and decided i needed french toast, now i rarely eat breakfast at all but i occasionally will get in the mood for it and this morning was one of those times, but it's too much hassle to fix for one so i took myself to the local ponderosa for their breakfast buffet, their's is not like mother used to make but it's decent, and i like their sausage gravy and biscuits.....they also have corn beef hash which i love but i never eat it there because they don't have poached eggs and it is indecent to eat one without the other. came home and did the some yard work and then watched henry V on ifc.....wonderful film.....well it was a nice, warm fall day, which was nice after getting about 6" of rain over the last week or so, and i realized that it was almost 2 and i hadn't eaten lunch yet, said the heck with it , and decided to go and say good bye to doug (pro/owner) of the golf course i play at, i figured it would be too wet to play, but also that he'd be closing up shop after tomorrow and off south for the winter, we had a nice chat, and the course wasn't too bad, so i played a quick 6 holes and came home and had dinner....have played a bit of computer games tonight......and probably will watch monster garage later and then go to bed early....sundays are always hectic...(trollie looks up from keyboard, to see he's written a nouvelle.....oops...)

( the camera pans thru trollie's computer room....we see the ugly but lovable face of the trollie reflected in the monitor, although burned or etched into the monitor might be closer to the truth......as our scene opens the trollie speaks)......bored....bored....bored,,,,blogshares is down....the database server is well i guess dead.......but contrary to popular opinion i did not eat the data base......(as the camera pans down we can see trollie guiltily kicking a scrap of something under the computer hutch.......screen goes blank as we hear the camera man scream)

so it's all hollows eve.....a night for ghosts, goblins, and tooth aches (although they will undoubtedly come later) but not trolls....at least not this year....i'm hiding in the computer room with all the lights in the rest of the house off because i do not possess the energy, either mental or physical to deal with the trick or treaters tonight, nor the patience to do so.....so trollie is playing the grinch this year.....hand is a little stiff this day but really is a bunch better then i thought it might be after yesterdays misfortune....but i'm really beat down tonight....probably will watch a little tube later but right now....i really should just go to bed......

have spent the evening vegging, then watched survivor, and the the last half of the japan vs. usa match in the rugby world cup....usa finally won but have played well through out......had an awfully day at work, but physically and mentally exhausting...on top of which the palletizer tried to eat my had....it's okay....skinned a couple of knuckles and probably will have a little bruising but i use the machine so seldom, i just made a dumb move....ah well........

i had a hairy day at work today, i'm very tired but went to choir dispite really not feeling up to it, but glad i went, had a nice chat afterwards, very enlightening, anywho am ready to call it a night, been wet and cold and physically has been hard on me...

i had a fairly simple day on the face of it today....at least that was what it appeared that it would be, but appearances can be deceiving, and that certainly was the case today...one of those days when everyone seemed to want something from me but nobody wanted to "wait in line".....everybody wanted it done now....even if i did have a half doz other requests ahead of them.....and the one person that was willing to wait was the chairman emeritus.....go figure...

was a very cold, wet, nasty day today.....and dark.....it's getting strange to drive home from work in the dusk of the day, time change and all, but the shortest day of the year it will be dark when i leave for work and dark when i come home.....and working i a building with very few windows it sometimes seems as if i never see the sun during the week......can be very depressing......work went ok, wasn't busy except that i had to put the final touches on month end inventory.....and must make time tomorrow for some warehouse work......trying to run the department alone is a drag.......was very quiet a work today....many yankee fans in mourning.....bills fans too.....actually quite pleasant...

i'm in the down 45 minutes between two rehearsals and stopped home to check blogshares and email.....i've left the cats alone far to long today, i've been trying to do things on the computer with smoky in my lap, and have not accomplished very much....must run....more later

i'm a bit bummed tonight, today was the last day i was going to get a chance to play golf before my home course shuts for the winter, and although it wasn't too cold, it certainly was to cold to play in the rain......dang.......have just kicked around most of the day and relaxed.........was a very tiring week...And tomorrow as usual will be hectic...must remember to set the clock back tonight as we are off daylight savings time as of tonight..........

this week has really been a rough one, one day to go and hopefully i can get caught up....well really i guess i'm actually caught up now but i guess i don't feel like it yet, really am dead tired...will probably take a bath before survivor and go to sleep early...on the way home from work tonight it was snowing a little, that kernel type snow we call corn snow, it wasn't sticking but it was snowing.....it might be warm saturday so will try to play golf and then put the clubs away for the winter.....course closes at the end of october and although a few renmain open til the snow flies i think i'm done for the year, unless i play saturday....

i had a very exhusting day at work today, and really got behind the 8 ball.....need to get caught up tomorrow or i'll be really in for it...because i need to do a monthly inventory friday......had a battle last night with two of my cats for my bed....obviously they would dispute who's bed it is....but as it gets colder i'm sure the battle will be fought repeatedly....

i had one of those days when things aall didn't get done because the day just didn't fit together, things kept happening at the wrong times and in the wrong order for the day to run smooth....rehersal went great tonight...we got one of our voca;ists back who's been away for a while and it really helped....good rehersal...i'm tired and tomorrow promises to be ...well.....i will refrain from using the correct adjective......

i discovered something interesting tonight, i run a google tool bar with my browser, and there is a popup blocker option on the bar which i've been using, and it works good, maybe a little too good, i tried to use my blogroll this feature and the pop up blocker blocked the window from coming up, i had to turn it off in order to use the blogroll this, but in truth a minor price to pay for no pop ups...........

it was a nice day here, a bit on the cool side but a nice fall day, work up with a mild head cold and feeling a little weak, and decided that in order to complete the day something had to go, so skipped my afternoon rehersal, just didn'tr have either enough voice or energy to do everything that a normal sunday entails....feel good this evenong how be it a little tired, tomorrow promises to be a bit hectic so i think i'll reitre early, have been sleeping better of late, i've taken to drrinking a little sweet wine about an hour before bed and then some hot tea, whioch seems to be relaxing me and i've not had the problems i've had lately falling to sleep......nothing much is happening.....

it's been a wierd day, got up really late for me, after 9 o'clock.....even on non work days i rarely sleep past 6 or 6:30....stopped at mickey d's for a large coffee and a breakfast san and went to play golf....it's about 10:30 and there was no body on the course, infact i was the first out, ojay so it was only about 45* .....and it is the first day of deer season, well gun season anyway....and most of the die hards were playing an exchange match at another club but still....funny thing about it was (being the first day of deer season) is if i had packed a rifle in my golf bag i would have had about a 100 yard shot at a 4 point buck....and a shot gun there would have been goose on the table....saw about 100 geese lounging on one fairway.....rest of the day has been veg time....watched the eagles get beat by figi in the world cup......close game but......tired and headed for bed

well i got thru the work week, well almost, i'm sitting here waiting for ups and fedex to pickup, but everything that can be done is...finally loaded the last scrap load i had pending and that went very smooth, thought i might have a problem but didn't....i hear someone coming ....

well today was fun....not......i worked my little tail right to the bone and am further behind then i was at the beginning of the day...i've got three of the four scrap loads done but i'm really hoping that the fourth doesn't come tomorrow....i hate to get to the weekend and not be caught up.....and the last load is the most problematical of the bunch....it's older material which has been sitting in the warehouse since moby dick was a minnow and the pallets are probably pretty weak by now....should be fun to load.....speaking of moby dick did you hear about the blonde who thought moby dick was a STD.......(rim shot)..........any how had to run north of the city with a load to the scale house and much to my disappointment the leaves i thought last week were not at peak yet were.....nuts....another fall with below average color......ah well......trollie go get spray cans of red and gold paint and fix trees.......i want colors of fall dang it and i'll have 'um if i have to paint them myself........probably not a good idea...i'm a real klutz where paint is concerned i usually get more on myself then i do on the object i'm painting........i can see it now ...a red and gold trollie....nah probably couldn't see it i'd probably get the dang stuff on my glasses as well.......

i feel unwell tonight and think i may be coming down with a cold, which is no surprise, caught quite a chill today....really miserable day but work load and weather....damp,rainy, windy cold....loaded two trucks and got really wet and cold in the process....lovely....and winter around the corner....i'm gettin' too old for this_____!!!!

wow, i feel old tonight, 2 of us hand loaded a 20' container with 320...70+lb rolls....and i couldn't keep up..i just don't have the ability to do that any more....rather embarassing....of course i am almost 56 but .....rehersal went okay tonight..we are working in the new voice pretty well....and will be getting back anotheer voice in a couple of week which means we will probably split into two teams.....too many cooks spoil the soup....it just gets too muddy.....

well i went to bed last night feeling like a zombie and woke up feeling worse, i went thru the entire day like i was trying to see the world thru a thick fog, and still am out of it....really have nothing much to say as nothing got thru the fog today and registered with me.......first game of the rugby world cup was on and as much as i enjoy watching that game i just couldn't get into it.....well neither the eagles or the all black were playing so i guess i can use that as any excuse.....by nation i must pull for the eagles but ......i really enjoy watching the all black........

i feel like a zombie tonight, just could not seem to fall a sleep last night ...was after 2 am when i finally did...and then had a typical busy, hectic sunday....have been playing blogshares this evening with some success....need to get to bed but afraid that sleep will not come...i really have nothing nagging at me.....just can't seem to nod off .......

as i said i took a drive up on tug hill this afternoon looking for fall colors, and was fairly disappointed, with the exception of a few brillant yellow and oranges, the colors are pretty drap, none of the reds that really make it beautiful....but there is a lot of green yet and so i doubt it's peaked yet, at least i sure hope it hasn't......but just outside rodman noticed a small, old cemetary that i had never seen before, or at least never payed attention to, not that i'm out that way very often....not an active cemetary to be sure although some one has mowed it recently......almost all the stones in it are just that at this point, stones stuck in the ground, any carving or writting on them long since weathered into nothingness....although i did find one stone that was still in good shape...i think mainly because it was faced away from the direction of most weather....from 1839...and as able to just make out 1813 on another stone....which would be consistant with the time this area was settled.....but it got me thinking that this represented a "colony" of people living on this spot about 200 years ago ( the age of the woman from 1939 was on the stone and said that she had been 82 years old)....but in a general, impersonal way.....markers to people who lived and died here but for the most part nameless, remembered but forgotten........well in that mood as i drove back to town i past the cemetary my mother is buried in and remembered that it had been a while since i had visited her site...it's with a bit of embarassment that i must admit to driving round a bit (large cemetary) until i remembered where the site was, it's been about 4 years, almost five since her death, it's not that i've forgot her....i could never do that but just where she rests........i'm not one for great displays of emotion.........

another nice day today and i love it,love it,love it and the only conclusion you can reach after my tiraid last night is the obviously i had time to play golf tonight.....probably shouldn't have as my one knee is acting up and i like an idiot forgot to take any IB's before i went out to play....but it did loosen up after a couple of holes......with winter fast approaching i really hate not to take advantage of the few good days we get this time of year....
as a follow up to last night i had reason to drive out north of the city today and there is some color in the trees, they must have gotten a frost up that away that we didn't get in town...i may drive up onto tug hill tomorrow in search of fall color......if i do and find any i'll post some pics..........

it was a warm beautiful day today and i hate it hate it hate it......i had to work and by the time i got off there was no time to get around of golf in before dark, the weather is fickle this time of year it teases me with beautiful weather when i can't play and gives me lousy weather when i can play.....(/trollie feeling sorr for himself).....this has been a strange week, i was supposed to load 4 outbound scrap loads that were supposed to be picked up one per day monday-thursday....well here it is thursday and i've loaded zip....nodda....if they all come tomorrow i'm liable to nuke somebody ( got yah...i'm still feeling sorry for myself)..........
finished the last of the cider tonight....it was just starting to turn and had a zip to it....will have to pick up some more...probably just one more time....i really like the early cider best....made from the early apples like macs and cortlands....rather then the batches made from the late apples....but i'll drink it if it fizzes....(i'm not sure that is spelled right but you get the idea...and if not than buzz off)

i am exhausted tonight, got back from choir rehersal about an hour ago and just have crashed out...wasn't that bad a day at work and slept well last night but i'm very tired right now....i think i may be coming dwn with a cold....it was a very nice warm fall day today....but wasted on work....this week i've only got saturday to play golf and the weather will probably stink.....it's the time of year that everytime you play could be the last time you play...haven't had a deep frost yet so really no color in the trees yet.....if you get some nice color i'll shoot some pics and put the in the attic.....and put a link up to it....i may take a run up into the hills this weekend in search of fall leaves......

it's getting to be that time of year, when i was loading the transfer this morning i turned the dock heater on....and was greeted with heat which i enjoyed but also that odor which tells you right off that the heater hasn't been run for a while.......could turn in to a fairly busy end of the week as a couple of loads that should have already gone were delayed......had a decent rehersal tonight.....but everybody was just a little off....that happens from time to time.....decent but not great.....

woke up this morning went down to the car to go to work, and the windows had a coat of dew on them ( i thought) it happens quite often this time of year i said to myself , got the car started and went to wipe the windows dry and discovered not dew, but a thin layer of ice, and i have no idea where the scraper is...(note to self: it would be a go idea to locate the dang thing because winter is coming) well anyway i've discovered that if the ice isn't to thick, which it wasn't, a cassette tape box works great as a scraper when the actual item is not in hand, turned into a pretty if a bit coll day........first day back to work and the weather is great....it sucked most of the time i was off.....ah well......

man am i tired, a wild day today, was on a dead run from just before 9 AM until after 7:30....didn't have anytime to just relax and unwind....starting back work tomorrow....am a little bummed out tonight....i got kind of put in a spot the other night....was asked for my opinion on something that really wasn't my call but the person involved needed some back up, so i backed him up....agreed with him anyway but probably would have supported him anyway because he needed it....well i'm catching the heat for it and he isn't....ah well just goes to show you that no good deed ever goes unpunished.....

weather was cool and rainy all day until about 5 PM when the sun came out and it warmed up a little, so no golf today, by that time there wasn't enough light left, but i'm glad in a way, i probably would have played if the weather was better, but i twisted my knee a little last night and it was probably best that i stayed off it today...i've been playing blogshares and surfing a little but also have the ESPN gamecast up so i can follow the braves/cubs game....i've been a braves fan since i was about 9 or 10 years old....and yes they did have baseball that long ago.....thinking about taking my bath and getting ready for bed now.....monster garage is on the discovery channel at 9 and i've become addicted to the show......going to the bottom of the ninth and braves are up 6 to 3....i guess i could walk the 20 feet to the living room and watch the end of the game but i'm too lazy........

fall is upon us here in the old northcountry, it was partially cloudy most of the day but very windy, cold and a bit of dampness in the air, played golf early this AM and played prettty well, but had the winter golf gloves on most of the way and really needed the long johns and turtle neck....( which reminds me i need to dig them out from where ever i put them for storage last spring)......played early evening and it was a bit nicer weather wise but i stiffened up the last few holes and basically played like_____. still we haven't had a hard frost yet and the leaves have barely started to turn.....maybe we will get some color this year, last fall was so damp and the frost so late that the colors were ....well not colored....fall is a neat time of year up here.....several really good brands of local ciger ....and the colors of fall...but really we have only 3 seasons....winter....just was winter....and soon will be winter....(rim shot).......i'm tired and headed for bed

a cold, wet, nasty day...i'm told there was alittle snow in the air early this morning..i was still abed and was spared the horror of seeing it this early, however when i was out for a while this afternoon it was a rain/hail mix....but it was almost more like corn snow then hail.....really nasty....my joints have beem stiff and sore all day...they bother me most when the weather is unstable and changeable.....once it gets cold and stays cold i'm usually okay but regardless of temperature damp weather always gets to me...really just enjoyed doing nothing today....spent some time playing one of my older sims....civil war general....i have the new version...CWG II....well even that game is a few years old but have always perfered the original....i'm not much of one for real time games...i like the turn based better,,,,i guess to many years of playing tac level board and minature wargames to break the turn based habit.....although i did play some roleplaying games years ago but mostly as a GM........(oops...game master)........but i guess that with the advent of the PC and the internet those style games have fallen from grace......

am off until next week....spent a quiet day....was cool and rained on and off all day...no golf...ah well i took the time as much to just get away and unwind as i did to play golf....so it was a great day...never got out of bed until almost 10 o'clock....sure beats getting up at 6 every morning....had a choir rehersal tonight and that's the only thing i had on the must do list before sunday so i just will veg out, relax,unwind,play some golf if i can and just do nuthin' .....i mean that's what i need......

well inventory is done, audited, and in the books (or rather in the computer system) for another year and i've got the rest of the week off, was done at noon and on the golf course by a quarter to 1.........had a rehersal tonight for worship team, one tomorrow for choir and a choral rehersal on sunday....i think that under some situations trying to be in three groups at once might be a bit of overkill but all three do totally different music....different styles and i enjoy all 3....would be hard to drop one.....couldn't decide which one i would not do......am tired and i'm headed to bed........

i'm sitting here trying to relax and not doing a very good job of it....just finished doing the adjustments to inventory in the system and waiting to get the okay that they match up....once that's done all that's left to do is go round tomorrow with the independent auditor and i'm done with this for another year.....and off for the rest of the week.......actually i feel a little "off" right now but that's another kettle of fish.........

it's 7;30 am and i'm sitting at my desk trying to get my arse in gear, i have much to do today but my "clutch" is stuck and i can't get into gear...i asked the clerck at the store i stopped at this morning to slap me to wake me up but she refused....ah well.....

it has been a very long and busy day, a quick worship team pratice this morning (starting about 9 am) then taught an adult class....church service, team sang several songs, home just after 12:30...a quick lunch and then backout the door about 1:30 to get to the first rehersal for north country choral....got back home just before 5....and i am dead tired....i'm getting to old for this....voice is shot.....but had a great day none the less....music for choral is not that bad, nothing super high or demanding except that the rhythms are a little strange, some of the pieces are based on african folk music, which some spanish and welsh throw in for good measure, very unusual rhythms....one is in 7/8.....which i have never see before in my life....it is effective in the song but it's going to be a bear to get used to...will be a busy 2 or 3 days at work finishing inventory and then i'm taking some time off....i have 29.5 vacation days coming and i intend to burn several........

was a very nice fall day, warmer but very windy, i mean pant legs flapping windy, took a roadtrip down to mannsville to play the little short golf course down there, it was empty and basically had the place to myself, if no one is there it's the honor system, put your money in the metal lockbox bolted to the deck....ah to live in the northcountry......and have just hung out and relaxed the rest of the day......have a busy day tomorrow....first choral pratice for the winter concert...have just about decided to sing....probably will....but whim and trollie are two words that mean about the same thing......i'll spend the time to think anything thru....figure all the possibilities and then more often then not throw the whole mess out and decide by whim.......dang....life is supposed to be free stylr ain't it........

well i survived the first day of year end inventory i think, i still have to check the obits in tomorrow mornings paper but came thru ok, it's probably the most important day because the count today covers most of the "cash" in the inventory.....still have some nitpickie stuff to do and then any adjustments to the inventory but the big headaches are behind me, nice day how be it a bit on the cool side but then it's almost october here in the northcountry and snow is just around the corner......i can remember a few years ago getting about 6" (of snow) the day before columbus day...but hope to get some nice weather next week as as soon as i have inventory in the books ( or in the computer) i'm taking sometime off.....maybe will take a little roas trip and play a few of the different golf courses in the area...have one that i haven't played the new nine on my own ball that i'd like to try...played a couple of outings there in scamble format.....may be take a run to the 'cuse.........

i see from the taggie that khai stopped by, haven't seen her for a while but then i have not surfed over to her blog lately either...have really not spent the time on this old dump or on checking out my web-buds blog lately that i really should....i have the prep for year end done as good as it can be.....but frankly no matter how well i prepare there is always something i overlook...or some wild card event that manages to cause a problem.....never really goes smooth...i guess it's just the nature of the beast....may nopost for the next couple of days as i usually get really tired and mentally drained doing inventory and lose my ability of coherant thought....asuming that i have that ability to begin with which is ptobably a pushing the boat out a bit far.......

i missed posting yesterday, first miss without a good excuse, just didn't feel like trying to invent something to say, decent day at work and took dad out to supper tonight, boys night out, of course it isn't too wild when one of the boys is 88years old, it's a bit weird when you can walkn into a resturant with your dad and both get the senior citzens discount.......had a good time....not much else happening tonight .........

very restful day, sang twice but that is really pure enjoyment and relaxing...things are going well in regards to the group ....maybe too well...a believe we may have a problwm brewing but i hope it can be avoided...promises to be a wild week with year end inventory friday and saterday but will get through i'm sure...i've been through more then 30 of these deals so i know i can survive but each one has a special pain all of it's own...no two are ever alike and it's rare to get through one with out something fouling up the process....have to break in a new guy for the third year in a row ....check that for the fourth year in a row and that always slows the process ssomne what......ah well....

been just a slow hanging out kind of day, just took it easy, well that's not intirely true, i did replace the clapper in the crapper, it had been running after the old flush and the rubber stopper, a clapper type was worn out, i'll have to write a lymerick using clapper and crapper to honor the event,......where was i ........played a little golf but have just taken it easy....blogshares is still down so played some video games....and watched monster garage on the discovery channel....really a wacked out show but i like it....being a bit wacked out myself........

it was nice this morning but mid afternoon it turned extremely windy and the weather has been unsettled through right now, but i think that the remnants of the storm, now just classified a a low passed further to the west of us than what the original thought, really haven't had much rain, just windy and unsettled.....and they say it will get better and the weekend should be nice.........had a relatively easy day and work and have just hung out tonight....blogshares has been down all day but i've dropped my play a little lately......more later

i hate pop up ads, i mean i really hate pop up ads, but have never taken the time to really go searching for any anti-popup software, so i was mucking around with the options on my google toolbar the other day and guess what, there's an anti-popup option as part of the bar....boy do i read stuff well....anyways it seems to work pretty well so i'm now surfing popup free....wheeeee......was a really hot, beautiful day here today....seemed more like a day in late july or early august then one in mid september but we'll take it.....by tomorrow they are predicting heavy rains and high winds as our weather is affected by the hurricane that's headed up the east coast, we're way out of the way of the brunt of it but it will affect the weather of the whole north east, but it's supposed to be nice this weekend if more seasonal......played golf tonight and have just hung out the rest of the evening........

nice night but didn't have time to play golf, had a raather frustrating work day but then that will happen to you from time to time, i think the impending inventory is starting to get to me but i'm in decent shape for it so not to worry....yah right....rehersal tonight....well ......it was one of those nights when nothing really clicked...it went okay but ....everybody just seemed a little off....oh well that happens....saw a couple of doe on the way....just munching on the lawn in front of the fitness center on the way to rehersal....now mind you this is not out in the country but within the city limits....ok a city of only about 35000 but a city none the less......

has been raining tonight and it's cut the humidity a little so it's quite pleasant, and we need the rain, things are drying out pretty bad....the only good news is that it being the end of the growing season it really doesn't effect much except the grass....and the golf course....we need the rain....busy day at work....not physically pretty eas day that way but mentally was a challenge....this afternoon i was trying to juggle about 6 projects all at the same time, but got everything covered pretty well....got one more job done setting up for the count...have only one more nasty job to do and then just general cleanup type work......night all

another hectic sunday, it seems as soon as summer is over, well iguess technically it still have a few days to run, and it was very hot and humid today but there i go again....once september comes sundays become a very busy day and they mat get worse....north country choral's fall seasn pratices start in 2 weeks and church choir in 10 days...will probably do the church deal but i'm wavering on the NCC.......on one hand i really would like to do it...i find the music a challange but on the other hand it makes for a very busy day on sunday....i'll do the spring dea because it's usually a small choir and i am needed for sure....they could you me in the fall too but........ah ......will probably wait to the last minute and trust whim to help me decide......when all else fails whim is always by my side to help me decide what to do........you think i'm kidding don't you.......well i'm not........

ive been your basic zombie all day, i slept well for a change last night but woke physically but i think my mind is still in la-la land....of course there are those who think that's always the case but have really not been able to get going today.....was beautiful this morning and weather turned sore just after noon......could have played golf this morning but just couldn't convince myself it was worth the effort.......have really not accomplished anything today....on the bright side this is the weekend and i deserve a lost day once in awhile......but bot i've been lost in space all day...unfortunately that space has been between my ears.......

i'm sitting at my keyboard tonight fighting to keep my eyes open, it's only a bit after 9:30 and i'm falling asleep at the switch so to speak, but if my pattern of late follows i'll probably lie down and not be able to get to sleep, maybe i'll just sleep in the chair, oh and as tired as i am my typing and editing will probably not even come up to my usually gawd awful standard, you my need to study ancient hebrew to figure out this post, speaking of which i need to get a font set for hebrew just for the hell of it, my word process progam comes with greek letters but not hebrew.....ah thank heavens that pig latin uses normal letters ..........lunch didn't set well today for some unknown reason and i stayed in tonight....wasted a great night to play golf but i'm feeling better now........have really been surprised that i'm progressing nicely on getting inventory setup....still have a ways to go but 2 weeks to get it done so i'm actually ahead of where i hoped to be....things are going way to smoothly.....so i'm going to keep a close eye out because the monkey wrench in the works is probably just around the corner......night all

i just got an email which really bummed me out, first it seemed as if it came from someone i knew, off their guest book, but it was a spammer who was trying to sell me search engine submissions, as in " we've noticed that your site is not listed with some search engines" oh really....well good....i hate _____ search engine hits and some idiot who has no idea of what a blog is putting some insulting crap on my tag board and no email or site for me to respond to....hell if someone would offer me a way to take my site off the _____search engines i'd probably do it.....(/rant)

i spent the majority of the day with my butt in the seat of a forklift, not the most comfortable seating, it's designed for protection and vision not comfort, it's particularly hard on the legs because both feet have to be i relatively static positions to work the 3 foot pedals, plus beacuse of the gear shift on the right + the 3 control levers for the mast control you are in a rather fixed position, on top of which part of the time i was loading scrap bails, 6'x4'x3' blocks of compressed plastic scrap that weight about 1350 lbs. a piece and you generally handle two at a time, they tend to have a mind of their own and since some of the material has been thru a water test process the flour under them is wet which makes traction a relative term, actually it only took me an hour and a quarter to load 31 of them which is actually a good time, i've had the banding brake on them before and that is a real mess, but just a hectic day......have taken it easy tonight....hope to get in some golf tomorrow.......

a beautiful fall day, well i know that technically it's still summer but up here in the northcountry fall comes a callin' long before the it should, would have loved to take the PM off and play golf but just had to much to do, year end is around the corner and i started setting up the warehouse for counting....decided not to play after work which turned out to be a choice with great fore thought, i got called back in for an hour......have just hung out the rest of the night....still having sleeping problems and can't quite figure out want the problem is......have no rehersal this week so if the weather is nice will probably hit the links tomorrow....

i have a tagboard on now on the tee troll54 which i rarely pay any attention to, well so charming person wondered what the point ofthe blog was, and why the world needed to know what i shot on every round......actually his words were what this idiot shoots on every round.....well why not.....maybe he has no idea what a blog is......ah well...i suppose i could keep a paper diary just as well....after all i am keeping it for me but i'll bet he found it thru a search engine.....quiet day....and i'm tired....so what's new......

i will be glad when the good weather is over and i don't have to duck car washes at my favorite drive thru places....seems like every group trying to raise money has a car wash....today was a mess because in two of the fastfood lots side by side were two car washes....one was the IHC cheerleaders and the other the WHS cheerleaders....needless to say they were packed with cars driven by young men ( oh IHC and WHS....catholic and public HS's in town) of course it wasn't as bad as the weekend before the fourth....as crazy as it may sound the Miss New York State beauty pagent is held in watertown and they had a car wash with the contestants washing cars....hell i think every red blood male between the ages of 18 and 103 was in the line for that one....never seen so many dirty cars in my life......and no i was not in line....trolls don't have red blood..........no if it was a wet t-shirt contest.....nah......

i feel a lot better today but still have a bit of the flu hanging on, today was cool and damp but never rained, but the effect on my old joints made me a little gimpy all day....wanted to play golf tonight but it just wasn't in the cards, weather less then nice and some errands to run, but looking forward to getting out tomorrow.....i had another driver in today which spoke very limited english....really makes communicating difficult......i've gotten pretty good at understanding the different accents but i'm not always sure whether or not they understand me......

rainy morning but was an absolutely lovely afternoon, unfortunately no golf for trollie, i came home after a half day sick, i was running a fever, and had other complains that indicate that i have a mild case of the flu, for the benefit of all i will delete the graphic discriptions of said problems, actually i'm told that the word problem is out and the in term is issue(s)...however in the current situation i think issues my border on the graphic discription i'm attempting to avoid.....speaking of which i probably shouldn't use the term void either.......ah well, feel better this evening but i think part of the problem ( to heck with modern useage) is that i have not slept well for days...and what i have may be just a case of being overtired.......night all

i didn't update yesterday for the first time in a long time but i waited til late in the day and when i tried to update blogger apparently had a problem and it would not let me publish....but i was in a foul mood yesterday and it was probably a good thing that i couldn't publish......had a very frustrating day at work but have mellowed out tonight so am in a much better mood....it's cool and damp here tonight and i've been drinking Prince of Wales tea all night.....i read an article that suggest the benefits of drinking 20 oz of tea a day.....seems a bit much to me.....i think i'd probably float away even though i do enjoy tea....but it's a seasonal thing...i rarely drink tea in the summer...either hot or iced but i drink a fair amount of tea in the winter......anyhow have not been sleeping well and i think i'll turn in early tonight.......

labor day is an odd summer holiday, not many people up here play golf, i went out early afternoon and the place was not busy at all.....now on a normal weekend they'd be backed up at that time of day....on the other hand once labor day comes the amount of people playing golf drops to a handful and with a little luck with the weather you can play thru the end of october......true it gets a little nippy but if you dress right its ok..........

well i just deleted an email that offered me 6 free viagra....mercy....how did they know (hehe)....and with that being a prescription drug.....i wonder what they put in the sugar pill to make it blue......oh well i just love spam....and toothaches....and well pain in general.......sheessshhhh!!!!!!!.....restful day...played a little golf.....just hung out....day off tomorrow........weeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

i was nearly part of the labour day weekend accident totals....was coming into the city from playing golf on route 37 just after the 45mph speed zone starts, and some one pulled out in front of me from a trucking compny lot, i sware with out looking, jammed on the brakes and just barely missed her, i don't think she was even aware of how close it was, absolutely no re-action from her at all, no eye contact.....sheessshhh!!!!!!!!

really easy. quiet day, wanted to play golf but it rained on and off most of the day from mid morning on, but the good news is that we were supposed to have a severe thunderstorm, and that did not happen, i heard so in the distance so it apparently missed us.....just hung out tonight....played some video games and some blogshares and watched a little tube..looking forward to not having to work for 3 days......

kind of a nothing day, really was an easy day at work, and just hung out to night, went up to the mall for a while, was looking for a particular piece of music that i was pretty sure borders would not have a recording of but looked any ways and was right they didn't have it, actually i should check online because i'm not sure it's even available....i have an old cassette tape with an movement of the piece on it but that tape is probably 15 years old....also looked at the golf stuff at dick's....but am tired and i'm going to bed.......

i had a great day today, work was pretty flat so i was able to take the afternoon off and play golf, it's the first time in over a month that i've had a chnce to do that, mainly because of my foot, just to relax and play nine on a near empty golf course...no one to slow me down and no one beheind that i had to stay ahead of....just walking, wacking balls, and thinking ,,,,about .....well really about nothing....i tend to shut most things out when i play and just focus on the game...just relax and have a ball (pun warning system has been shut off....actually it went off so many times it burned itself out)..........have a monthly inventory to do friday which is kind of important....well more important,,,,all of them are important but this one needs extra attention because it will act as the check for the year end that will be done at the end of september.....i haven't been blogging at the time of a year end inventory before,,,so be prepared for a grumpy trollie ( yes i can get grumier) during the couple of weeks before it, year end is very stressful....and means long hours for two or three days that the count is inprocess......i really hate inventory....but i'm good at it and it's part of my job....but if you ever meet anyone who loves to do inventory ....run....because that person is both insane and very dangerous.........

this evening was kind of rushed as my rehersal was a couple of hours early because we were meeting with a sound consultant, which went well but reall was a light pratice but we did get some difficulties that we were having with the sound system ironed out so that was a good deal, on the way home i had a 6 point whitetail buck cross right in front of me on route 3, now this wasn't outside in the country somewhere this was within the city limits, in fact i've seen probably 8-12 different deer in that part of town....a beautiful site but not one which i enjoy while driving, unfortunately for all involved (that is deer, human and car) hitting a deer with a car is all to common an occurance in these parts, and the deer and the car almost always both lose......normally that dart across the road when you least expect it, tonight this guy was just walking slowly across and i had plenty of time to stop.......indeed a beautiful animal.......easy day at work......need to gfet some sleep as i have an early in tomorrow

nice weather continues, comfortable day, not real busy at work, and i slept well last night, how be it i did have one really strange dream.....not a nightmare....but just very disturbing...no that really isn't it either...i guess thought provoking.....it was as if blogs were represented as houses......some of the rooms in each were well filled out and ornate,,,and others were empty with cardboard walls.....and i guess that is true....the personality the lives and the thoughts of those that we read are complete in part, but total not revealed in part...weird dream....but dispite the fact i slept well and really wasn't busy today i'm dead tired tonight...need my beauty sleep....oh boy do i need my beauty sleep......

another nice day here, warm but not super hot and low humidity, played golf again, toe still a little tender but the real problem is the legs, usually by this time of year i'm in pretty good walking shape but with the month of not playing i've lost a little of the edge, on the other hand , walking slow my be a benefit because my back has been really good, no problems......other then that just a normal down day, got 5 days work this week and then a long week end......

it's funny how until you hurt a particular body part you have no idea how importaant it may be in a given activity.....now that i've got your interest i'll burst your bubble and tell you i'm talking about my right big toe and no i don't have a foot fetish....i went out and played golf tonight for the first time since i messed up my right big toe about a month ago, and until i took a couple of pratice swings never realized how much pressure i actually place on it during a normal swing, if i finish with a high follow through, the only part of my right foot still on the ground is...you guessed it the offending toe...well after a couple of swings i realized that although the foot felt great walking it wasn't up to that kind of abuse just yet.....now if i take a short follow through more of the foot stays down and the toe was fine, of course the problem then was that i was hitting the ball on a much lower ball flight, actually i use that shot from time to time to get under the wind or a tree or what ever, called a punch or a knockdown, well i ended up playing most of the round like that and the foot is ok........hope i'm over that crisis......i thnik that the main problem is that i just can't keep my foot out of my mouth and it gets waterlogged and hurts.....(hehe)
was a great day, warm but dry...really beautiful day........popped in and out of work this morning and then just took it easy til about 4 and then played golf......i never play during the day on the weekend just to busy....i'll wait til late afternoon and then can usually play pretty well at my own pace without worrying about slow groups.......i don't wait well.......on the golf course or in life in general.....patience may be a virtue but i neither have it nor do i desire it....

not a bad day at work, for a friday, a little crazy but then fridays are usually a whole lot crazy, production is working 6 days this week so i have to go in tomorrow for a while to update the production firgures in the computer.....was warm, hot actually today but the humidity was a bit lower, mowed the grass and just vegged tonight......nothing really happening......but i feel pretty good.....but am tired....i think i might try to grab a couple of days off next week and unwind.....

we;ve had a couple of warm dry days in a row but today somebody turned the humidity back up, i've felt unwell all evening, i'm just not used to the heat and the humidity which is rare in these parts, i guess my lack of tolerance may have to do with the fact that what isn't rare here is sub-zero winter temoperatures, i guess the body adjusts best to the most common extreme and here in the northcountry that's snow and cold, not in august to be sure but i do remember a pretty heavy snow fall on columbus day one year.....i'm going to take a shower to cool down......

just another typical day, really nothing great happened, or any thing really unpleasant, work was a bit frustrating but then work is always a bit frustrating....as a friend always told me they call it work brcause all of the good four letter words were already taken, foots pretty good, still get a twinge every now and then but i'm going to try to play some golf this weekend, been about a month but ......ah well.......i've become addicted to ben and jerry's ice cream....the everything but the flavor is my fav.......i better start exercising or i won't fit under the bridge.....
