Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

I spent a quiet day, and it' looks like I may including today be spending 7 quiet days in a row.....weather forecast is for 7 days of rain through this coming Friday......and since I no-longer drive, even a brief walk in the rain doesn't have a place in my plans........looks like I'll be keeping the restaurants that deliver busy....
Spent a good part of the day online, doing some basic web surfing, but I did wander around YouTube quite a bit......I was trying to track done a particular arrangement of one of my fav pieces.. found a few decent ones but not the exact performance I was looking for.......
But managed to stumble over some episodes of "Hogan's Heroes", and got sidetracked from looking  for the afore mentioned music, and spent much of the afternoon.......watching old episodes of the afore mentioned TV series........

It's a quite Sunday..............posted originally to a Facebook site on the ACW (American Civil War).............and it's turned in to a string of posts for the last couple of hours, that may run on for ???/....no idea.......have reposed and replied a few times, but am really enjoying it.......also have another string of posts and replies on my normal ( if anything I do can be called normal when I'm involved) Facebook home .......but has turned basically a quite........boring day into a very thought provoking, and interesting day.......both introspective on one string of posts, and just plain fun on the other string.......

I spent a good part of the day writing  posts both for here and my Facebook page, and trying to make some sense and order to my bookmarks.........as to the posts it some times takes me longer then it would take most.........A) I never learned proper typing.....B) my spelling leaves a lot to be desired......and C) i have essential tremor, if you need information on it you can check this (link)....my hands shake from time to time, and sometimes I know how to spell the word but I end up with multiple letters that I never intended.
As to my lack of typing skills, I have gotten decent with two finger typing.....but before all the practice........some of my former methods were:
   1) the scriptural method: Seek and ye shall find
   2) the chicken method: hunt and peck
   3) the Columbus method: discovery and land
When I started blogging I needed a title for the blog, and got to thinking  about an old TV sitcom "Car 54 where are you", and since I was 54 at the time, and my "good" friend BP had hung me with the nick troll....Troll54 where are  you was born.......he once had commented that I was the most even temper and least bigoted person he had  ever met........by that he meant, I was always in a bad mood and hated  everybody.......therefore I was a troll..........after beating the carp out of him, i decided that he was probably right, the beat-down was verbal, not physical, dang the kid was 8" taller then me, I may be ornery but I ain't stupid
About the same time as the blog began, I found a game called "Blogshares" ....was in beta at the time....and now rests where internet games go when they die.......I was there for the beta......and there for its' passing.......but having looked around and viewing the players' forum.......I decide I need a persona....and to avoid the stigma of "troll", out of my warped mind the "Madtrollie" was born.....complete with a bridge and an extreme hatred of noobs.......well that developed over time.....but privately.....always sent gifts.....advice.......and at times involved them in my nefarious schemes......except as the writer of this warped blog...the Madtrollie has become more or less benign in his old age.......but beware when least expected.......

For many years online I lived behind avatars when ever a picture was asked for,  first one was a budgie on a skateboard, then there was the cat with a yamaka, then it was the parrot with a yamaka and a pray shawl........you can still see him on the right looking for matzah.........whether I finally came to the conclusion that at least I should show my true self, or I lost an argument with that orthodox parrot, or the simple fact that this almost 70 year old man finally figured out how to use the camera that is embedded in my desk top...give me a break.or rather a brake......have always been confused as to which one to use......but anywho when I was a lad.......computers still had punch cards, hand held calculators were yet to be invented, I was near 30 before I ever saw a hand held calculator.....and all it could do was add, subtract, multiply, & divide.......dang I didn't need a device to do that......that's what my brain was for........I will  admit that years later I needed to know  precise conversion from lbs. to kilos and bought a calculator made for that function......but where was I.........when I took chemsitry and physics in high school the most advanced quick short cut was a slide-rule.......and I could make that baby sing.....
I guess it's about time to stop this long, rambling, and at times at the least somewhat incoherent post.......and at most......do I hear the approach of the men in white coats and their rubber lined truck to take me away.........
but the bottom line is I've decided not to hid behind avatars no more

dang.....I mean just dang....I saw a post on Facebook that a peep claim to find "bullets" laying around the parking lot at a gas station.........shock horror......but part of my misspent adulthood was working in a factory......and part of that time was as a machine maintenance man........and i immediately recognized the "bullets".........there is on the market several styles of screw drivers with interchangeable bits.......what the person found were said bits........the original posted claimed to have researched said "bullets" on the internet and confirmed they were "bullets" right?
be very careful what you accept as fact on the internet............even if someone says they have researched it
Here I am again......hanging my head in shame......it's been nearly a week since I've posted here......there was a time......seems like eons ago that 3 or 4 posts a day was not out of the ordinary.........but a year+ ago I found Facebook and over time have found a bunch of old  classmates from high school, some I even starred Kindergarten with.....and it's kind of changed my focus from my blogs......authored 5 at one time, and was co-author on 3 or 4 more........now just down to two, here and my poetry blog........which I have posted to already today.........( if you're interested link wanders around on the right column somewhere)
Finally feeling back to normal....feet are feeling decent, not quite where they were before their latest rebellion, but tolerable.....the new normal......I actually am quite surprised that the knees didn't joining with the feet....I assume that they're just biding their time......but then in a few weeks I'll be 70......so I guess.....check that.......I know that certain body parts will from time to time protest the abuse I force upon them over the years.......had my 6 month visit to the Doc.....a week+ ago......BP fine, heart, lungs fine......he's a GP so the joints aren't his bailiwick,  (oops old word just look it up......)

I posted something on FB tonight that I thought only would or should have attracted a response from some one who grew up in the 50's and 60"s and then probably in the Buffalo New York area........and it produced a series of replies that A: i didn't expect.....and B: I enjoyed greatly.........although a good friend in Junior High and High School.....I never knew he was a fan of the Buffalo Bison Triple A baseball team.......sometimes you post something on FB and anticipate multiple responses and get zilch, and then sometimes you post something and  anticipate nothing,  and you hit the mother lode....
