it was a beautiful spring day today, warm,sunny and not very humid...work wasn't too bad, and although my voice was a little rough today (which isn't surprising as i abused it yesterday)....the cold in general is much better...cut the grass tonight and hung out on #blogshares for a good bit......feel pretty good tonight......

i actually has been a very restful sunday for a change, had made a boiled dinner last night, for the sole purpose of reheating today so i didn't have to screw with dinner, got some lovely asparagus, really nice, one of my fav veggies and really enjoyed the meal as much as any in a long time, i've decided that i need to put a little more effort in my meals......took a bit of a ride this afternoon....cold seems to be a little better......heard some things today that put my present situation into a more understandable form......

it's been an interesting day, and it's not half over:
i went to work figuring i'd be out in an hour, but as often happens it didn't turn out that way, they had posted a new production schedule which made a big difference in my order schedule so i ran over to the whse for 5 minutes to check on one of the raw material inventories and discovered i had a major problem. we get plastic resin 1100 lbs. to the box, set on pallets and stacked 3 high. well 3 of the bottom boxes had started to collapse,and i had 3 leaning stacks, fortunately all 3 were leaning to the left and to had rested on the material in the next row, if they had leaned the other way they probably would have fallen, which would have been a real mess, got everything made right but ended up spending about 3 hours at work.....
i filled the car up with gas today, with the gas economy of my car and the fact i really don't drive very many miles per week i only fillup made every 2 1/2 weeks. but i paid $2.09.9 per gallon for gas. what a shock. about 40 years ago when i was in my teens i'd cut grass for money in the summer time, i'd buy gas by the gallon and get change from a quarter....
i took a run down to adams center to go to a fruit stand, get some fresh veggies...which is weird, when i first came to watertown there were probably 5 fruit/veggie stand right in the city, now i've got to drive 15+ miles.....oh for the old days

i have been in one of my can't sleep cycles again, i'm still fighting this dang cold and i think that's part of it, but even if i don't cough i just can't seem to drop off, nothing really nagging at me i just can't get to sleep, i'm sure that the hot, humid weather is part of it but......
i need to go into work tomorrow for at least a couple of hours...would like to skip it but my boss is off so i'm the one who must deal with the daily reports...think i'll just veg the rest of the day

oh i was going to mention the final survivor show earlier, ok so i figured rupert would win the vote for favorite...makes sense, he had lead the most poplular polls for the whole season, but amber as the sexist female survivor of all time.......give me a break...she won't even crack my top 5....no i freely admit to be partial to dark hair and a darker complexion.... but she won't even be the best blond.....heidi was far sexier then amber.....amber is a little too much the girl next door to be truly sexy

it was hot and humid again today and when work was done i didn't feel like cooking but it was just to dang hot for my normal take out retinue. so decide to go to this little greek place, i normally feel i little funny going into a sitdown place alone but did, got a large Greek salad, ice tea and a gyro platter....really hit the spot
rained pretty hard for about 15 minutes which cut the humidity for about 5 seconds after it had stopped and it's right back to hot and humid.....off to take a cold shower.....

it was my firm intention to go to bed early tonight, but i got involved playing blogshares and just looked at the clock and realized that i had just shot 2 hours.....oy vey....

it is hot and humid in watertown today, mid 80's F and very humid....living in an area where cold is the common extreme, hot and humid really does a number on me and the to have the weather in may...
took the afternoon off and played golf, and like an idiot forgot to take a bottle of water with me, so i'm a bit over heated and probably a little dehydrated, although i have made a real effort to re-hydrate since getting home...
i got a new twist on the nigerian scam today in email, i should have saved it but i deleted it without thinking, this one was from Hong Kong( at least that's what it said) and involved the secret funds of a dead general from iraq......(if you haven't heard of this scam check out some of the links here)
i've made a not so amazing discovery, every can that a cat hears being open contains tuna,or some other canned meat that cats like, i opened a can of potatoes tonight only to find my herd of cats at my feet looking for handouts, when i showed them that it was potatoes i though there would be general rioting
