   I'm posting earlier than/usual today..got an early jump on my gaming..and only spent just a little over a half an hour on "Pokerist" but had all my "'Daily Quests" in-hand and a few extra chips from play..pl;ease don'y mug me..free site..faux money.. game money..no exchange rate..but when I got done with the usual cycle of games looked at the clock..the Bond movies start at 13:00 local time..and realized I had time to post here and then veg out for the rest of the day watching "Bond..James Bond"..all three of the flicks to day feature Sean Connery as Bond..and he will always be in my mind the "real" James Bond.. however some of my favorite Bond flicks are later ones with Pierce Brosnan as Bond..??..../....Have placed the up date of the "Winter Weather Warning" in the footer..new forecast calls for a short period of snow and far less accumulation..but from my perspective.. regard-less I have no intention to venturing out to Friday when peeps should have the sidewalks cleared..[knock wood}..in this area clear sidewalks after a snowfall is rarely a given../...slept pretty well last night with the exception of a few weird dreams..not scary or like that..just weird..and surreal..and have not ventured out from my "fortress of solitude" all day and have no intention to do so until Friday..save for a trip or two to the lobby for a couple of breakfast items..../....just a few thing to take care of before I make a sandwich and settle into to the rest of the day watching "'Bond..James Bond"..ergo.."Nite All"....[12:34 UTC-4]..../....

   I had mentioned in an earlier posting that I didn't think that we'd seen the last of the snow this winter/spring,,well "Mother Nature: has decided I guess not to disappoint me..She shouldn't have..in retrospect I'm glad when I checked the weather around 10:00 the wind was nowhere near the volatility predicted and while housekeeping was in I decided to get out of their way and take the short walk to Ollie's..just a bottle of evoo & Dollar General..a 6-pack of 7.5 oz cans of Dr Pepper & a bag of ripple chips.. wanted some thing to accompany my /usual mid-day sandwich & ripple chips  have always been my fav for that duty..the wind has picked up this afternoon but there's a spot on the north side of the building..wind being from the south where I could sit out and enjoy the warm weather..../....The rain tomorrow and snow to follow will only add to the "Flood Warning" on the Black River which flows thru this small city..not that there's any threat here as at the point it passes thru the city it's in a gorge..but other areas to the East & West will be affected..years ago on a 100 yrs flood..there was a foot or better of water in the parking lot of the plant I worked at..dealing with it was a wild 24 hour shift..../....The high note with the oncoming weather is at least there's some decent TV on tomorrow..three Bond flicks starting at 13:00..NCIS episodes from 07:00>19:00..and the "Shooter" @17:30 ..that is if the actually show it this time rather than just listing it..(my rant is in a previous post)..../....about three hours before I take my rest..a meal to be consumed..check-ins on my FB groups..and maybe a few more online games to be played..ergo..

   Another decent night's sleep..I could get used to this..although I have been taking a little "me time" before logging on to start my online day..logged on at 04:30..checked my FB groups..started my posting to "Trollie's Game Room"..played about 30 minutes om "Pokerist"'..finished & published my post & took a break at 07:00 for first meal and an episode of NCIS on the USA Network

.. made short work of my play on  "24/7 Games.com"(in games of Spades)..and decided even though it would be warmer tomorrow to that the walk to Aldi this morning..got the usual fare but drat they were out of the rolls I usual get but do have enough of them on hand for the next few days..and a nice chat with one of the other "kids" that checked me out..now I basically took the walk on a whim..but in retrospect I'm very glad I did..because while checking the weather for tomorrow discovered that the winds expect for tomorrow are 15 to 25 mph..because of the balance issues I have because of essential tremor I found awhile back that it isn't a good idea..under similar wind conditions I was crossing Arsenal St..one of the busiest streets in the small city I live in in the walk lane and with the walk light when a gust of wind caught me..spun me around..and if I hadn't had the cane would have face-planted in the middle of the street..and with the attention of most of the drivers up here..especially to walk lanes & speed limits I might have ended up a very old street pizza..oy gavalt..since them I've been extremely careful to avoid walking in similar conditions..especially if it involved crossing Arsenal Street..../....still a few hours before I call it a day..if the weather was warmer I'd probably take a sit down on the back lawn..but it "tain't..ergo..probably a little TV..and maybe a few more games * check-ins FB..anyways&ergo.."nite all"....[16:12 UTC-4]..../....

   Another pretty decent nights sleep but got off to a slow start on my online gaming day..a few more things to deal with on my FB groups..but had a pretty decent day gaming..and was done just afternoon..and checked by on my FB groups..and on "May the Far Side be with you"..no modding had been done and there were 30 new member requests in the queue..now as an admin. it's really not my job..vetting new members is in the arena of the mods duties..but some had been in the queue since I'd checked in on it around 04:30..so I took of my admin. hat..put on  my mod hat and got 'em done..made a rustic egg-whit frittata with spinach and watch some of the second Bourne movie on BBC-America..the third one starts in about 15 minutes..so I'll cut this post short here..and continue it later after the end of the movie..that is if I remember to do that....[15:16 UTC-4]..../....

   Another decent nights sleep but was a little slow on the uptake this morning..but of my usual online gaming done except the games I play on "World of Solitaire" done by just after 12:00 and decided to take a break,,have my traditional mid-day sandwich ..and check the weather..i had penciled in a walk to Price Chopper & T J Maxx for either today or tomorrow..and one check of the forecast for tomorrow convinced me that today was the day..ergo..decided to walk then..Price Chopper first..just some fresh garlic..some shallots..a length of pepperoni..a bottle of pepperoncici ..& a box of "Star Crunch" one of my fav snacks..and then to T J Maxx..didn't see anything new that caught my eye but I had gotten a week or so ago a bottle of jarred tuna w/capers & garlic in good olive oil..had had it before and have been enjoying it..now the thing with T  J Maxx or any outlet is what they have today ..they may not have tomorrow or for that matter every again..still had a four jars let..2 of which have now taken residence in my pantry..really enjoyed the walk and back to my rooms..finished play on "World of Solitaire" and took care of some things on the FB groups I'm either a mod or an admin..set up my charts foe tomorrows play and about 16:00 had myself a sit down outside to enjoy the day..../....and then checked the weather and prepared to make this posting..../....Still haven't decided how to spend the rest of the day..nothing worth my time on the old boob tube tonight..have already showered and taking my meds..still a meal to consume..and maybe some more game play..and checking in my FB groups will be included..ergo.."nite all"..../....[17:41 UTC-4]

   Had one one of my bests nights sleep in many a moon..only awoke twice during the night to deal with an issue..dang diuretic ..and actually slept for four hours straight at one point..because of the rain had not planned venture out today..save for a trip around 07:00 to pickup a few morsels from  the breakfast buffet and late morning to pay my rent for the upcoming month..usually pay it anytime after the 3rd Tuesday of the month..when the SSI eagle carps in my account..and thereafter on I remember to do it..../....The bad weather has pasted us buy at by at this point..but we had gusts in-excess of 30 mph & some pretty significant thunder and lightning to boot..one good thing about it is that the warm weather of late and today's rain all of my "short cuts" will be open..but on the other hand this is the Northcountry of old NYS & I've seen significant snow (about 15") on "Mother's Day"(2nd Sunday in May)..& the same amount on  the day before "Columbus Day"(2nd Monday in October)..and seen a few flakes in June..so I haven't put my winter shoes in storage quite yet..because of an Achilles tendon injury I had many years ago while playing soccer I can't tolerate high-cut boots or shoes..but have a pair of winter shoes with tread that a 4x4 tire would be envious of..../....Have spent the day except for the aforementioned trips to the lobby and I did stick my head out the beck door a few times to see if there were any effects from the storm and to grab a breath of fresh air..../....Assuming the weather as predicted occurs tomorrow will  take a walk to Price Chopper and T J Maxx..a need a few things from Price Chopper..now at T J Maxx I rarely go looking for something specific and even more rarely leave with out something find it's way into my cart..their gourmet food aisle if on of my fav spots to browse...../.....showers..meds..a meal..some TV or more online games & check-ins on my FB groups are in order before I take my rest..ergo.."nite all"....[16:08 UTC-4]..../....

   I mentioned in Tuesday's post that I was going to watch "Shooter" that's what was listed..but what they were showing was an Adam Sandler..oy vey(I guess spell check isn't fond of his work either got a red-line under his name)..ended up watching the second of the GI-Joe flicks..and while preparing to post here last night did my usual check of today's TV-listings and realized I had missed something the night before..BBC-America was showing "Hunt for Red October"..last night from 17:00 to 20:00..and it was about 16:30 at the time and was about to start Wednesday's posting here..ergo..no Wednesday's posting..blame Sean Connery ..../....not much transpired yesterday of note anyways..did take a walk to Aldi..just the usual fare but was out a few more things than/usual so had a heck of at time getting everything into my sling bag..but everything fit..eventually..now I have been know tease the checkout girls a little but this one gives as good as she gets..and started needling me as soon as I got in line..lead to a fun conversation..hadn't seen her in awhile..nice kid..../....slept very well last night..was dead tired when I went to bed..overslept a little..and the fog between the ears was pea-soup this morning..so was a little slow on the uptake..ate first meal whilst gaming and a break for second meal and a little Paw Patrol..that and a 2 &1/2 hour session on Pokerist and it was after 15:30 before I got the normal run-thru of online games done..decided to take a walk round the "loop" I often walk..and sat-down to write this post..../ ....haven't decided what to do with the rest of the day..some decent TV on and with the "heavy weather" forecast for tomorrow ..will check the pantry & frig to see if I need to take a walk sometime before dark to pick whatever up..or maybe just a sit-down on the back lawn..anyways & ergo.."nite all"....[17:06 UTC-4]..../....

    Sat out in the warm sunny weather last night after I had posted here..had a long chat with "H" one of the other residents here at the hotel and found out she's moving out later this week to join her boyfriend in Tennessee..she and "J" another resident who pasted a short time ago were quite close and I think part of the reason for her move is to get some distance from the memories ..a decent nights sleep and a more typical start time..but took some time offline around 07:00 for first meal and an NCIS episode and again around noon for second meal and some Paw Patrol..and was done with the normal run-thru just after 13:00 and de-cided I needed a walk..now tomorrow would be the usual day for me to hit the ATM and get my "10 day walking around money" so decided that that would be a great excuse for a walk..up the hill to the bank and  a couple of cars in the ATM line..decided to just go into the bank..and while there the manager and I got in to an extend conversation..and I mentioned that my sis and brother-in-law had moved to Florida..and she asked who he was..said I.."I think you know him"..(he's on the board of the bank)..and said the name..her response was "small world"..she is a really nice lady..and has always been extremely helpful..../....although BBC-America is showing some episodes of "Law & Order" this evening which I normally watch..I feel at least some of my evening will be on the back lawn here in my folding chair just enjoying the warm evening...../....don't think I'll play anymore online games this evening as I usual do but will check in a couple of times on "The Farthest Side" & "May the Far Side be with you" on FB were I'm a mod on the former & an admin on the later..shower..meds..another meal still to scratched off the list..and that sit down outside ..ergo.."nite all".....[16:56 UTC-4]..../....

   I awoke about 03:00 this morning..dang diuretic..rolled back over but about 03:30 decided it was a futile attempt to get back to sleep so rolled out of bed for good about 03:30 and was online by 03:50..by just after 09:00 was well into my games and decided as i needed to walk either today or tomorrow to Aldi..I'd go then..temperature was still in the lower 40s F but light wind..and if I would have waited until later when it was warmer would have had to deal with the Sunday rush there which begins about 11:00 ..just the usual fare..they had been out of packages of dry salami which is one of my favs so added that to my bag,,and back to my rooms..and was all done with the normal run of games which included just a tad over an hour on "Pokerist"..by just after 12:00 so had my /usual sandwich & diet Coke for 2nd meal (& yes dry salami was the featured cold cut of the day) and decided to take a walk..just a walk..I have a loop I walk in the afternoon and evenings during the nice weather..out the back door..down the hill ..thru the plaza parking lot..along Western Blvd..a sit down on some benches at the corner with Arsenal St..watch the traffic and then back by way of Arsenal St..sometimes back to my rooms by way of the lobby..for a cup of coffee..but today down the entryway to the plaza back up the hill to the back door..as I stepped out the back door to start my walk I had the first of Spring with many more to come..close encounters of the Canada Goose kind..I startled a mated pair..who were quite annoyed with me ..they were feeding on the back lawn of the hotel I live in and I assume have taken their yearly residence at the small pond which sits maybe 50 yds. from the back door of the hotel..came back that way to see if they were still there and there were on the way back to the pond..enjoyed the first loop walk of the season greatly..../....still a few things yet to deal with..and some TV will be watched..ergo.."nite all"....[15:14 UTC-4]..../....

   As/of 05:37 this morning Eastern Daylight Savings Time Spring has sprung here in the Northcountry of old New York State..and over the 10 days according to the local forecast Spring like weather indeed..daytime highs varying from lower 60s F to lower 40s F..and overnight low varying between upper 40s F to upper 20s F..and rain expected..some rain weather periodically thru the 10 days and maybe a little snow one day..pretty typical of Spring weather at 43.9748* N..75.9108 W..and off the east end of the Lake Ontario..I can remember getting 12" of snow on year on the second Sunday in May..& 15" of snow the Sunday before Columbus Day in  October..so I'm sure we haven't seen the last of snow this year yet..our weather is described by some as.."We have three season..Winter..just was Winter & soon will be Winter"..& by others as "We have two seasons.."Winter & Construc-tion"..and some years both are true..when I was playing golf a years back..there were years that you could find a local playable course in late March..and others in was late April or early May..but except for nine semesters of college I've lived all of my 73+ years either in the lee of Lake Erie or Lake Ontario..and am just used to it.../....Slept pretty well last night and had the bulk of my online gaming done by just after 12:00..my usual sandwich & diet Coke for 2nd meal..and the weather being nice took the short walk down the hill  to Ollie's and Dollar General..a bottle of evoo & a bag of pretzel pieces at Ollie's..a bottle of salsa & an a re-heat-able rib sandwich at Dollar General..../....another meal..shower..meds..and maybe some games before I take my rest and checking in on my FB groups..ergo.."nite all"....[17:17 UTC-4]..../....

   Slept reasonably well last night and got a pretty normal start on my online day just after 04:00..had a pretty good session of poker on "Pokerist" and was done with the majority of my game play by just be for 12:00 and took a break for my traditional midday sandwich & coke..and of course "'Paw Patrol"..yeah..I know..I man my age watching cartoons fro pre-schoolers..but at heart I'm just a kid that grew up..or maybe just grew older..but I do have one adult type question..just where did Ryder get all the cash for those fancy "toys" he has..../....so just after 12:30 got dressed and took a walk with the intent of only going to the Speedway convenience store for some chew..but decided on the way to take a side trip to T L Maxx..one issue..really a non-issue..I had forgotten to wear a mask..walked in to the store and was greeted by do you need a mask..dummkopf..except I had a few days ago taken the step of putting a package of 10 of those accused rascals in my sling bag..you'd think by now I'd remem-ber..but I probably was thinking about half a dozen other things and was distracted..anyways..was glad I stopped in because not only did they have a larger bottle of capers on hand which I'd bought before..high quality..decent price and I was running out but also had a jar of caper berries which you seldom see..have just a few left in the open jar and one back-up..now two..when I was checking out one of the clerks comment on my sling bag..I responded it's probably older then you..she said 23..I said I bought it 40 years ago used at a yard sale for 5$..we got a good laugh over that..she also mentioned she'd never had caper berries so we talked a little about them..and then off to the convenience store..and a nice chat with the manager..really enjoyed the walk & the conversations..../....just a few last things to button up before I take my rest..another meal..some TV maybe..and maybe a few more games..and check ins on my FB groups..ergo..nite all....[16:10 UTC-4]..../....

   No I didn't have another dummkopf moment and start a post for here last night and forget to finish it and post it..rather USA network was showing some of the old NCIS episodes..ones i particularly like and made a conscience decision to forego yester-day's posting,,not that much actually happened yesterday of note..I did take my penciled in walk to Aldi..and on the way although my "shortcut" to Big Lots was open decided to forego that trip..just the usual fare at Aldi,,although I did remember the round of  smoked Gouda which I had forgotten the last two times I was there..but one disappointment there were out of New York style cheese cake..oy vey..but was done with all my online activities early and watched more TV than is/usual..and played a few more solitaire games before retiring..../....save for a walk down to Dollar General earlier this afternoon..(6-pack of 7.5 oz Diet Coke..a bottle of Gatorade Zero..4 apple pocket pies & a package of cookies)..I've been in my rooms all day..a decent night's sleep..and again most of my online activities were done by just after 14:00..I've spent sometime fiddling with my layout on "Trollie's Game Room" today..not a major overhaul/re-do to be sure..just a few minor adjustments..but even that takes time..for the moment have no plans to mess with the layout here..I'm reasonably satisfied with it and far to lazy to consider any wholesale changes..../....    Slept well last night and was online by just 04:00 so it seems that except for the brief problem yesterday I have weathered the change over to "Daylight Saving's Time with minimum disruption in my daily routine..[knock wood]..when I was the supervisor of a shipping/receiving/warehouse department years ago in a small local factory..the only way I kept what little of sanity I have left was to have a daily schedule/routine..and that was subject to adjustment depending on rush orders are changes in the priory list from the "suits upstairs"..and although those days are long past..I still tend to live a routine..scheduled life..however know somethings are subject to change based on weather..whether or not my bad knees..bad feet..hip and shoulders are behaving themselves ..and sometimes on a whim..I try to live an orderly life..keep on an even keel..because stress or excitement have a hasty habit of causing my essential tremor..to got what the name implies..and I shake like a leaf..one of the reasons I gave up driving a car over 10 years ago..in a emergency situation while driving I might "pop" a tremor and lose control of the car and I will not put myself or any one else who might be in harms way in that jackpot..also the reason I live where I do..everything I need including my doc is within a 12 to 15 minute radius walk..well at least when there is snow and ice on the sidewalks..../....I've taken it easy today..didn't play the usual number of online games I usually do..and more TV the /usual..NCIS..Paw Patrol & 300-Rise of an Empire..did stick my nose out the back door a couple of times but save for that have been in my rooms all day..housekeeping was in for the regu-lar Tuesday visit..../....Had been debating whether to walk to Aldi tomorrow or Thursday..but a glance at the advanced forecast ..clear tomorrow and rain most of the day Thursday has ended that debate..../....Sill just one or three things left to do..ergo..

   It's been and interesting howbeit a quiet day for the most part..went to bed last night at my /usual 20:00 and awoke a little after 03:30 and online right about 04:00 and save for a walk up to the lobby for breakfast items for the next two days have been in my rooms..mostly online save for a little "Paw Patrol" with my /usual sandwich & Coke for 2nd meal..../....While playing on one of the free sites I play solitaire on I saw an ad..site is free to play but most of free sites also have a bunch of ads to subsidize the cost of running the sites..one of them this morning had an ad asking whether you approved of the "Biden presidency..click here"..oy vey..the man has only been in office for a couple of months..and unless you are predisposed to one opinion or another..it's like judging a book after reading the first two pages..and he still has many "pages" to write..some of the things his administration has done I agree with..on some I disagree and on others I have no opinion..in any case IMNSHO..it's too soon to decided whether I approve or disapprove..lets see..so I posted a similar post to the above on my FB timeline and the comments have been mixed..    Sometimes i can be quite a dummkopf..apparently when I added the hour to my clock last night in accord with the shift  to "Daylight Savings Time"..press a coupe of buttons..whether if I had a small tenor or just another klutz move on my part so when I rolled  out of bed when I thought it was 03:30..it was actually..01:30..clocks don't official change until 02:00 which become 03:00..oy vey but by the time I had figured out my mistake I decided to just stay up and get the day started..now under regular time the re-set for bonus for "Pokerist" were just before 04:30..now 05:30..so played some sims before playing poker..two "Quests" to complete which I managed to do in 17 minutes of play..but with the "pace of play" being lightening fast decided to rest on my laurels and cease play..which put me way ahead of schedule..on my sims&solitaire..and with it not being as windy as predicted decided to take my walk to Aldi just before 09:00 and was about 50 yds from the entrance when the doors opened..just the usual fare save for a container of crumbled Feta..but saw a clerk I haven't seen in quite awhile and had a chat..she'd been out for a few weeks after being in an incident with her 130 lb Labrador Retriever and a black cat and some chasing of the afore-mentioned cat were involved..and she ended up with broken femur..don't know her exact age but I'd guess late 50s..oy vey..I've been to Ollie's twice in the last week & a half..since I has checked and decided I needed to get another box of quart storage bags..the one I was taking bags from was running low....and it slipped my mind both times..with time to "kill" figured three times would be the charm and a box now resides in my pantry..dummkopf...../....still a few details before I take my rest..haven't decided when that will be but will let my body decide that for me..ergo.."nite all"....[16:48 UTC-4]..../....

   I slept well last night save for a couple of very strange dreams..most of which I have gratefully forgotten..other than that they were weird..but awoke at the /usual 04:00..with the time change not sure what time I'll get started tomorrow but what ever it is we'll adjust..played a longer session of "Pokerist" this morning..and decided to take care of bunch of errands I needed to get done..so didn't start playing my sims&solitaire games until I returned..so just before 09:00 up the hill to the ATM (all my shortcuts are open)..& got my "10 day walking around money"..first to Price Chopper and some fresh garlic,,shallots..a wedge of Amish blue cheese & a package of thin sliced Angus roast beef..to T J Maxx..a bottle of tuna w/capers & garlic & another bottle of hot sauce..the collection keeps growing..then the Speedway convenience store for a tube of chew and finally on the way back to my rooms at Dollar General for a 6-pack of diet Coke and a package of leads for my mechanical pencils..both items had slipped my mind yesterday when I stopped there..and back to my rooms..but during my walk I heard one of the sure signs of the return of Spring to the Northcountry..the unmistakable "honks" of Canada Geese in flight..soon we will be awash with many little fuzzballs ..the geese use three small pond close by to where I live to raise their young..and with the return of the geese the flying rats (aka:seagulls) can't be far behind..../....but the shopping trip took the better part of an hour & 45 minutes..and of course that includes chatting with a few of the sales clerks along the way so I'm a little behind schedule today..../....still a shower..meds..and a snack..maybe that tuna I bought before I take my rest & lest I forget..turn my clock ahead an hour..ergo.."nite all"..../....

   I overslept again last night..never got online until almost 05:00 this morning..but there again we will be going on "Day Light Saving Times" at 02:00 AM this Sunday morning and set the clocks ahead an hour..or as the old adage goes.."We Spring forward & Fall back"..not that I get up at 02:00 to reset the clock..I do it before I retire the night before..so my schedule might change with the..we'll just have to wait and see..so I started my normal day (that;s assuming anything about me is what most folks would consider normal)..but managed to complete my two "Quests" in 17 minutes rather than the hour+ it normally takes..watched NCIS and a little Paw Patrol with first meal..and then into the days sims$solitaire..when I went to play on "Just Solitaire" the site was all screwed up..games won't load..so off to World of Solitaire finished play there..another great sandwich for 2nd meal..and back to "just Solitaire" which was running smoothly..took a break about half way thru..the wind was nowhere as strong as predicted and decide with the warm weather and rain of the last couple of day's my shortcut to the plaza just down the hill from my backdoor was open..so off to Ollie's & Dollar General..didn't get anything other that the usual fare save for a package of bandanas for which I have several uses..and back to my rooms..finished off the last of the games..and started to setup my charts for tomorrow and check tomorrow's TV schedule..it must be something in the "air" because the site I use won't load either.. anyways..will try again later..on the other hand I rarely find anything on the weekend TV schedule worth my time to watch.... /....shower..meds..another meal and maybe some TV and checking in on my FB groups must be attend to before rest..ergo..

   I overslept big time last night..never got online until almost 05:00..started my posting for the day to "Trollie's Game Room"..and then off to "Pokerist"..a very frustrating session..played over two hours and didn't complete the last of the three "Daily Quests"..I walked to the lobby and noticed that it appeared that my short cut up to the bank was passable and decided to take the walk today I had planned on for tomorrow..(and checking the weather just now was glad I did..tomorrow is colder and winds between 15 & 25 mph)..I had rolled my loose change last night so off to the bank to turn my change into "green banks"..usually I deposit my change in the debit account I have for the internet/delivery..but decided to take the cash and..run..well at my age walk away slowly..and then to Aldi..nothing special just the usual fare..and back to my rooms..had not eaten first meal before I left so was after 10:00 before I ate and was feeling a little off but after eaten felt better..and into an abbreviated number of sims&solitaire games..had a sandwich and decided to take another shot at "Pokerist" & had a much better session..played just over a half an hour and completed the last "Quests"..../....I Have no intention of leaving my warm..cozy..safe rooms tomorrow..I have balance issues due to my essential tremors and have nearly lost my balance in high winds before..so I've learned by experience not to venture out in high winds..but today..when I walked just after 09:00 winds were light and the temperature was in the lower 50s F and it  felt good to walk out..without having to bundle up..just my favorite sweater and snap brim hat..../....still have a few more things to deal with before I take my rest..shower & meds..another meal..maybe some TV..and checking in on FB..and maybe a little wandering around YT looking for a couple more videos..ergo.."nite all"....[17:17 UTC-5]..../....

   Been a warm day here in the Northcountry of old NYS..and a warmer one tomorrow..but at least at this point plan is to stay in my rooms tomorrow as I did today  and take my walk to Aldi Friday and make a stop at the bank.I have a cup that I put my loose change in and after my walk yesterday it was full to the brim..so spent some time this afternoon sorting thru it and putting the bulk of them in sleeves so I could turn them in at the bank..2 rolls of quarters..1 of dimes & 2 of pennies..as just a few short of being able to make a roll of nickles..haven't decided what to do with them as of yet..I have a second debit card account that I use for buying things off the net & if I order delivery I may put it there or just keep it in my "mad money"..which I keep to use for things I see in my travels around the neighborhood..../....The drain on my sink was draining slow so when housekeeping came in today I had them look at it..they had one of these new fangled (dang spell check) sink plungers..they'd give it one push..nothing & repeated with no effect..I asked if I could try it..about six pumps in quick succession and the drain was cleared..since it's the only sink in my rooms I use it for everything including my dishes..two things..I need to do a better job of pre-scraping my dirty plates & look for a workable strainer to put over or in the drain..preferably both..../....other then that incident have spent a very quiet day..another great sandwich for 2nd meal and some Paw Patrol..and a little NCIS with first meal..../....still a few details to attend to before I take my rest..ergo.."nite all"....[18:09 UTC-5]..../....

   I awoke this morning a gimpy..grump..stiff..old codger..which I do very morning but this was to a much greater extent..I was in a foul mood..even more then most mornings..I'm not now nor ever have been a morning person..but today to the nth*..only thing that went well was got my breakfast items with ease..and sat down to play some "Pokerist" and had a very disappointing session ..a couple of dudes just burning time off the play clock for no apparent reason..add to that I just wasn't "catching" decent hands and only managed to complete one of the two "Daily Quests"..started to play my sims&solitaire and just didn't have my mind in it..so decided as temperature was in the mid-30s F..I take a walk to Ollie's & Dollar General..and for once didn't have to bundle up..just a wool hat and a lined flannel shirt I'd bought a couple of years ago..that..a gentle southern breeze..dry sidewalks and my mood started to improve..as luck would have it the two kids that checkout my purchases were two of my favs..but 20-somethings ..bubbly personalities..and as we would have said back in the day.."cute as a button"..I know..I know..but if I was forty years younger..anyways..made a sandwich for lunch..some salami on a crusty roll,,cheese..several condiments & spices and micro-waved..& a bit of New York style cheese cake..& some "Paw Petrol" and I faced the rest of the day in a much better mood..played a short session of "Pokerist" and completed the other "Quest"...have spent the day as I usual do with online gaming..tending to my blogs..searching YT for some new videos..and keeping an "eye" on  the FB groups "The Farthest Side" were I'm a mod & "May the Far Side be with you" were I'm an admin..throw in another meal and some "Rizzoli & Isles"..and it's been a much better day in the end than it started out to be..../....but the hour is getting late and just another quick check of my FB groups and then to bed..ergo.."nite all"....[19:26 UTC-5]..../....

   Overslept again..but as I am retired so is my alarm clock..I still have one & it keeps very good time..but as to its' name function..that lies unused..dormant..but as I had no walk planned for today it really wasn't a factor in today's schedule..as I do every three days went out to get items for breakfast and couldn't find the desk guy..apparently there was an issue and really not a big deal from my point of view..I have most of my 1st meal items in my frig & pantry so not really a problem..but when I called later to check was told that everything would be as/usual tomorrow save that there was an "emergency" and rather than tomor-row's usual visit by housekeeping it would be delayed until Wednesday..also not a big deal..has happened from time to time but not only with the current management but the older management as well..I'll flexible in regards to that so as long as I know what day..no big deal..so I can get my garbage and re-recyclables bagged and ready.../...Wednesday's advanced forecast calls for daytime highs in the 50s F..maybe Spring is just around the corner..and with it the return of the Canada Geese..there are three small ponds in the immediate area that they use as a nursery..and soon there will be many little fuzz-balls around..and there parents hissing at me if I get to close..but I enjoy watching their antics..rain most of the day Thursday but clear Friday..have penciled in a visit to Aldi Friday..and to Ollie's & Dollar General for either tomorrow or Wednesday..we have harder winters in the past..this one wasn't that bad but I must admit that I am ready for Spring..../.....have had a good day playing my sims@solitaire games and on "Pokerist" as well and with the addition of the new mods on "Let the Far Side be with you"..and my promotion to admin..the "workload" between there and "The Farthest Side" were I'm still a mod has become more manageable..../....Still one or three things left to do before I take my rest..ergo.."nite all"....[17:29 UTC-5]..../....

   Oy vey..sometimes I can be such a dummkopf..as I almost always do started my post for yesterday and then left it on draft form to finish later..only problem was there was no later..I plumb forgot about it..not sure what exactly distracted me but it didn't get finished..discovered it this morning and rather then finishing it then just decided to trashcan it and start a fresh today..I had posted Friday that I had PMed the admin on "Let the Far Side be with you" about the increased work load and had suggested that he might put up a notice for volunteers..which he did we now have three new mods..and a new admin..the old Madtrollie..basically my responsibilities are to keep an "eye" on the group for any violations of rules and if needed I can "jump in" and help the  mods if things are busy..../....got a good start to the day and despite taking the walk I had penciled in for the day will when I finish this have all but a few details of my online day to completed..../....just after 10:00 off to Aldi I went..and although the short cut to Big Lots was still impassable the sidewalks except for a few small avoidable spots were clear and dry..so stopped at there first..a couple of bottles of sparkling water..black cherry..a flavor Aldi doesn't carry..a bottle of Vietnamese garlic pepper sauce..a box of White Tea & one of Oolong Tea..and the then to Aldi for just the usual fare..nothing not on my list managed to force it's way into my basket..and back to my rooms..../....My plan for the rest of the day starts with a sandwich and maybe watch a little TV..and probably wander around the net for a bit and play a few more sims&solitaires but not "Pokerist" completed all my "Quests" for the day and based on winning the last two hands I played ended up taking a few chips from the table I hadn't brung with me..& to avoid yesterday's faux pas I'll post this now and if needs be tack on to it later..ergo..have a good day and a better night....[13:26 UTC-5]..../....

   It's been an interesting day..awoke at 03:30..started to rolled back over and try to catch a couple more ZZs and decide to get up and get the day started..even though I played a longer session on "Pokerist: than/usual I was pretty much done with most of m y gaming to decided to take the to the west that I had penciled in for the day..sidewalks were for the most part clear and dry..but with the wind at the time out of the west was blowing pretty good and it was quite a bitter wind..stop at T J Maxx first..a bottle of mixed pepper corns which I had discovered last night much to my chagrin I was out of and a small jar of capers..then to  Price Chopper..didn't find and rolls or crusty bread which I wanted..but have enough on hand to Sunday and will make a run to Aldi..but did pickup a couple of poblano peppers..a nice piece of fried haddock & a bottle of peperoncini..have tried other brands but Price Choppers store brand are my favs..and then to the convenience store..apparently the brand of chew I  get was not on the truck and was back-ordered..dang..decided to go back to a brand I used in the past and switch to pouches..used them in the past and decided to give them a try again..and then back to my rooms..had a sandwich for lunch and cleaned up most of the rest of my online day..although I did miss the first 20 minutes or so I watched the Bond flick "Thunderball" on BBC America..and now they are showing "From Russia with Love"..which I intend to catch the last part of once I have dispensed of a few more details of my online day..../....workload on "Let the Far Side be with you" is still fairly heavy so I PMed the admin suggesting that he con-sider adding another mod or two..got a response that had been thinking the same..and asked if i could recommend someone..but can really think of anyone I could..rats..still need to shower/take my meds..and Bond..James Bond is awaiting..ergo.."nite all"....[18:51-UTC-5]..../....

   One of the better night's sleep of late..got a pretty normal starting time to the day's activities online..both of the FB groups that I'm a moderator on were fairly busy..bur a tough set of 'Quests" to complete on "Pokerist" took  me longer than/usual to com-plete..so ate first meal and took the walk I had penciled in for today a little after 09:00..had intended to stop at Big Lots..but my shortcut there is still impassable..and one look at the condition of the sidewalk in that direction quickly made me change my mind..sometimes I can be such a dummkopf..when checking my pantry and frig last night made a mental note of what I needed or liked to pickup..and didn't take the tome to write a list..not that that always helps because I have a bad habit of making a list ..checking it twice..and then leave it in my rooms when I take my walk..did pretty well this time bur did forget a couple of items ..fortunately I had planned to stop and Price Chopper tomorrow on my western walk..so I'll just pick them up there..[knock wood] ..oy vey....[16:59 UTC-5]..../....Just finished a meal..when at Aldi today I was looking in the frozen food section and saw a box of Pierogies..one of my best friends in my teens was Polish and his mom made the best pierogies..but it got me to thinking..we lived rural and his family was having a family gathering/cookout..and I was invited..now he had 130+ first cousins (between his dad & mom they had 32 brothers and sisters)..I was 17 at time and there was a very attractive girl there just a few months younger than me and we were flirting a little..and I could tell he wasn't pleased..well I thought that she was a his cousin..wrong ..she was his aunt..youngest of the "older" generation..oy vey..anyways..I told him to deal with it..it wasn't like anything was going to happen..and he did get over it..../....Most of the days tasks are completed..maybe another episode of "Bones" or a few more games of solitaire..and a final check on FB..ergo.."nite all"....[19:49 UTC-5}....

   It wasn't the fact that I didn't sleep well last night the issue was getting to sleep  in the first place..wasn't a physical issue..or a mental one..my mind was racing and just couldn't get it to shut-down..after I did get to sleep awoke well rest but was nearly  04:30..only issue today was that my essential tremors have been bothering me a little more than usual..especially this morning.. today was the day in my budget cycle that I usual get ,y "10 day walking around money" so took a walk  up to the bank and when I a little shakier that /usual I sometimes have a problem with the ATM and as the bank branch was open..decided to just walk inside and let a teller handle the transaction..and later a walk to the convenience store and unfortunately they were out of the chew I use and won't get any new stock until Friday..so by then will need a few things from Price Chopper & a look at what might be new at T J Maxx so no big deal..because of the bad weather up here in the winter I always have a reserve tube in the pantry ..but I enjoyed the walk and on the way back to my rooms made a stop at Dollar General and picked up a 6-pack of 7.5 oz. cans of Diet Coke..and a dark chocolate candy bar w/orange rind..and then back to my rooms..since I'll in all probability take the walk to the west on Friday have penciled in a trip east and Aldi's tomorrow..and maybe Big Lots..../....The volume of new member requests on "Let the Far Side be with you" is still up and today was the busiest day yet..if it stays this way I will PM the admin and suggest they add another moderator..../....pretty typical day of play at the tables and the sims&solitaire games I play..watched an NCIS episode whilst eating first meal and Paw Patrol during the second..everything is done except another meal and a final checking on FB..ergo.."nite all"....[18:36 UTC-5]..../....

    Another decent nights sleep and  a pretty normal start to the day..only left the rooms twice..once to shake out the rubberized sheet I use to protect the table is use to prepare my meals..in preparation for the weekly visit from housekeeping so my rooms are freshly cleaned..vacuumed & fresh linens on the bed..& towels in the "little boy's room"..and once for an afternoon cup of Joe..otherwise have spent a quiet day in my rooms..the "work-load" on both FB groups I moderate has continued to be a little busier than/usual..and ran into a weird glitch while on FB..although all the moderation tools work..I couldn't post..I could comment but couldn't edit my comment..??..tried logging out and logging back on..no dice..let it be..played a second session of "Pokerist"..(a reasonably successful one)..when back and everything was working usual (The Ole Trollie can be see scratching his old grey head)..have had a pretty good day both with the poker play and the Sims&Solitaire games I play but have taken the day a little easy..I most often eat my meals whilst playing my online games..but today ate first meal whilst watching a NCIS episode on the USA Network and later second meal whilst watching Paw Patrol on Nick Jr...so it's been both a busy day but an easy..restful day was well..../....While housekeeping was in I was flipping thru a book of Larson cartoons and saw one of my favs (which I will put in the footer)..so off to "Google Image"..and found it..and saved it to my files and posted it on one of the groups I mod..../....Still a thing or three to do..ergo.."nite all"....[17:41 UTC-5]..../....

   Over slept a little this morning but got the day started and was just a little after 07:00 had just finished a session of poker on "Pokerist" and decided rather than eat  my first meal while posting & playing game took time off-line util 08:00 and watch most of an NCIS episode while I ate my first meal..posted to "Trollie's Game Room" and did some modding on the two FB groups I"m in..and about 09:00 the rains had ceased so off to Aldi and just a few of the usually things a get save for a round of Irish Cheddar flavored with Irish Whiskey..now one I was drinking Irish Whiskey was one of my go to buys..but now sober still like the taste of it..back to my rooms and back to gaming and just after 12:00 decided to break for a meal and watch some "Paw Patrol"..had rustic egg-white frittata with some fresh baby spinach..it really hit the spot..now today my one elbow was bothering me..I have had a problem in the past with so-call "Tennis Elbow" and remembered that Ollie's used to carry the braces for it..so decided to go there and Dollar General..and discovered "used to" was the operative word..but not now..if it keeps bothering me I'll pick nice day and take the walk to Walgreens..outside my usual walking range but I want to stop in at the Social Security office which is hear there some time within the next few weeks and will as the old adage says "Kill two birds with one stone"..and then picked up just a few of the normal fare at Dollar General and back to my rooms and it was after 16:00 before I had all but a few details of the day wrapped up..made a sandwich and ate while I watched the "Hec Ramsey" pilot on YT..and then sat down to finish this posting..except for a couple of check ins on FB I intend to spend the rest  of my evening before I take my rest watching old "Law & Order" re-runs on BBC-America..ergo.."nite all"....[17:07 UTC-5]..../....
