..I took a break from my online game play about an hour or so ago & just a quick walk down the hill to the plaza just below & saw no evidence that we've had anything more than maybe a light shower over the last several hours..but the current forecast for late Sunday into early Monday..doesn't bode well for the area..??..but there again will this forecast be right..anyways have no intention of finding out except maybe a glance or two out my window..../....I had gone to bed last night about 20:45 & had no problem falling asleep..the next time I saw the clock it was 03:15..no interruptions..I can't remember the last time I'd slept 6&1/2 hours without an interruption..the diuretic must have take the night off (& yes..I had taken it as part of my daily routine the last night) ..now don't get it twisted..I ain't complaining..just baffled or should I say farmisht..same-same..now when I sat done for my morning session of playing poker I had no intention of setting a personal record..but one thing & a tother..was about to leave several times & didn't but ended up playing for 190 minutes..I've played on several different free online poker sites over the last several years & have never played a session longer then just over two hours..anyways lost a couple of big pots & won a couple bigger pots & left with more chips than I had brung with me &  besides played the last half of the session with a couple of players I've been at take with several times & we had a good chat(built into the game)..../....haven't really decided what to do with the last few hours of my day..still need to attend to my evening ritual of shower & taking of the meds..a evening meal for sure..maybe a game or three..look-ins on my FB groups (so far not the typical weekend heavy work-load)..have checked the TV schedule..what is less than nothing to watch?..ergo.."nite all"....[17:27 UTC-4]..../....

*[18:39 UTC-4]* I've been behind the old "eight ball" all day..last night on my last check-in on "May the Far Side be with you" where I'm an admin..there were several "mod alerts".."member reports"..& a couple comments deleted by FB for violating community standards..all that had to be dealt with so it was nearly 21:00 before I got to bed..but dropped right off to sleep..never awoke again until 02:25..took care of the issue & fell right back to sleep..never saw the clock again until 04:45 & never got online until just past 05:00..an hour later than/usual..the day ran pretty smoothly but never made up any of the lost time..had forgotten to get spinach when I was Aldi the other day..so just affter 09:00 went over just to get that & a couple of bottles of fruit flavored sparkling water..well several items found there way into my bag before I got out-a-there..was pretty well done with most of my day about 14:00..warmed up some potatoes & the last piece of haddock I had gotten a few days ago for lunch..but made too much & didn't finish it all..ergo..I will forego my usual repast of a rustic egg-white frittata & finish of the fish & taters for evening meal..will save some time..also a quick walk to Dollar General for some paper bowls I use to hold the dishes I cook in in the microwave..easier to handle than the hot dish..../....spent some of the afternoon playing some games on "World of Solitaire".. shower & meds taken & a quick look at "My the Far Side be with you" & more "mod alerts" & "member reports"..dang..at least there weren't any community standard violations..../....all to attend to now is my evening meal..will just warm-up the fish & taters & a piece or two of a light rye Wasa bread of which I have become very fond of..& maybe a last check-in on my FB groups.. ..ergo.."nite all"....[19:00 UTC-4]..../....

*[17:17 UTC-4]* I sit here was I usual do (except for yesterday) freshly showed & meds taken..been a fairly quiet couple days..did walk to Aldi yesterday morning..just the usual fare..but a interesting chat with a fellow shopper who worked for several years as a butcher at the local Sam's Club..and then later in the day to Dollar General..a bottle of tomato juice..a bottle of Gatorade Zero & wanted to get a 2 boxes of round crackers..the small size I have been using for first meal..little tuna..maybe some deviled ham.. maybe a salmon spread..& the large for my now traditional peanut butter & jelly cracker..I alternate between a orange marmalade ..fig..blackberry & cherry preserves..but they aren't carrying the small ones I like any more..pita crackers..nuts..so have decided to use the larger size..went to The Thrift Store to check out a larger plate to accommodate the large size..nothing I liked..also back to Dollar General this afternoon more for a destination to walk to than really looking for anything..left empty-handed..../.... have really enjoyed the cooler weather today & same forecast for tomorrow..I've always enjoyed the cooler weather..I grew up about 20 miles to the east of Buffalo NY..in the lee of Lake Erie..so was used to the "lake effect" snow so moving up here in the lee of Ontario wasn't a big deal..howbeit it is on average a colder winter..up here there are two adages about the seasons..1) we have two seasons..winter & construction..the hotel I live in is usually filled from April to October with construction workers..but the current health issues have as we would have said back in the day "put the kibosh on that"..2) we have three seasons..just was winter..soon will be winter & winter..I've seen measurable snow in mid October & Early May..& a few flakes in June..& one thing I really like about living in a hotel is that it's someone else's job to shovel..blow or plowed that accursed snow..had my fill of it run-ning a shipping & receiving department in a small factory for many years,,but there again save for that I love the area & have no  plans to every move to a warmer climate..../....still a thing or three  to button-up for day..ergo.."nite all"....[17:48 UTC-4]..../....

*]17:29 UTC-4]* after adding the weather to the draft of this post I spent sometimes playing a few solitaire games on "World of Solitaire" & have attended to my daily shower & taking of the meds..../....I woke as/always just before 04:00..a decent nights sleep with the exception of dealing with a series of cramps in my left foot..not much shaking my FB groups..dropped a few more chips than/usual on "Replay Poker" but otherwise played pretty well..about 10:00 decided to walk..I needed to go at least to Speedway convenience store for a tube of chew & sometime during the next week or so needed to stop at the in-store pharmacy at Price Chopper to re-fill my HBP meds..I had got a little more "ten day walking around money" in anticipation of that purchase & since Price Chopper & Speedway are in close proximity to each other it made sense to as we would of said back in the day "kill two birds with one stone"..so off I went..whilst waiting for my prescription to be filled I picked up some shallots..garlic..plums..a wedge of Amish blue cheese & a nice piece of pre-cook/breaded haddock & since It was nearby walked up the hill to T J Maxx & got a bottle of sriracha horseradish aioli..ever nice & then over to Speedway for my chew & back to my rooms..a quick break for my traditional sandwich second meal & was finished with all my days online play by just after 15:00..../....except for maybe a few more games on "World of Solitaire"..my evening repast & look-ins on FB my day is pretty well completed..ergo.."nite all"....

  Today's storm had past us by here by 13:00 so decided to take a walk to Big Lots & Aldi's just after 14;00 & that was before I checked the weather for tomorrow..which was when I had originally planned to take that walk..well sometimes it's better to be lucky than good..I can attest to the "feels like" temperature of +92*F..I've never been a big fan of the hot/humid weather..firstly Autumn has always been my favorite season..soccer..cross-country & just the cooler weather..plus living in the Northcountry of NYS..the most common extreme isn't heat but cold where windchills of -25*F & colder are not uncommon in winter..../....I looked out my window last night just before turning in for the night just after 20:00 & the rain was as we would have said back in the day "coming down in buckets"..flashes of lighting & the rumbling of thunder..none were close by...../.....a decent nights sleep & off to start my online day by just after 04:00..a light day of tasks on my two FB groups..& found a friendly table with a limited amount of loose play on "Replay" won a few chips & along the way made a "Royal Flush" (best hand possible)..../....on the aforementioned walk..didn't see anything at Big Lots that demanded I take it hone with me & at Aldi just the typical fare but when I got back was feeling the heat..cranked up the AC..got a cold bottle of Gatorade Zero from the frig & found that AMC was airing Godfather I&II today & caught the end of I & will probably watch some of II later..../....except for my daily routine of shower & meds..an evening meal..& a checking or two on FB..my day is done..ergo.."nite all"....[17:27 UTC-4]..../....

*[17:56 UTC-4]*..am sitting here as I do most evenings around this time looking forward to the end of another day..after started this draft I just "kicked around" for awhile..played some solitaire & listen to a little YT & took my daily shower & took my meds..as you can see from the weather report & forecast above we're in for a hot & went next 36 hours or so..ergo..as/always I intended to spend the next 36 hours in my "fortress of solitude"(aka:my rooms) slept pretty well last night & awoke just after 03:30 & was into my online day..work-load on both of the FB groups I'm either a nod or an admin on was pretty light..I had been experiencing a glitch on one..could comment but wasn't able to post but that's been resolved..today being a Tuesday got my weekly visit from the housekeeping staff here at the hotel I live in..as/of the 4th of August I've lived here for 128 months..it right on the edge of the commercial district of the small city I live in..I don't drive anymore..poor night vision & essential tremor(aka:"old age shakes)..if asked I say there are three reasons why I live where I do..location..location..location..I'm a 12 to 15 minute radius walk to every thing I need..only about ten minutes to my doc's & an urgent care facility basically just across the street & for me it's not only affordably but I actually save money..I consider myself to be frugal..others have accused me of being a "penny pincher"..ok.. when I pinch a penny they advise Lincoln to stop by urgent care..now my dad who was a teen during the depression..when he "pinched a penny"  they put Lincoln in the ICU & alerted the morgue....[have placed an image of the US 1 cent piece(aka:penny) in the footer]..../....all that's left of the day is my evening meal & some look-ins on my FB groups..ergo.."nite all"....

*[17:42 UTC-4]..I sit-here..fresh from my daily shower & taking of my meds..after I started the draft for today with the /usual weather decided to take a walk 'round the oft mentioned "loop" & enough shade was available for my short sit-down on the benches at the intersection..earlier after completing my online game play for the day I had a quick lunch..warmed up the half of a sausage sub mentioned yesterday & the short walk to first The Thrift Store..was looking for another pair of walking shorts..didn't see anything I wanted & then to Dollar General..just a 6-pack of Dr Pepper..had a chat with the assistant manager..I had been getting some of the smaller legal tablets there & they been out of them for awhile..she said as far as she knew they would get some in soon..../....the day other then that ran smooth..a nice quiet day..../....When I was a kid there was a 1/2 hour TV cop-show called "Dragnet" (most shows were 1/2 hour than..far lass commercials) the lead character was detective Joe Friday..& he had a classic line.."Just the facts ma'am just the facts" & in this age of the 24 hour news cycle I'm feeling a kinship to old Joe..when I was a kid the news was just that..just the facts..& opinion/editorials were separated from the news..but today you can watch/read "news" about the same event & depending on the POV of the station/newspaper..you get two different stories..don't get me wrong..I'm not singling out one side or the other of the current debate on political/social/moral issues..I find both sides as guilty of it as the other..I'm a rational..logical..well educated & well read adult..I'd appreciate it if you just gave me the facts..I am capable of making up my own mind..funny thing is..although I do sometimes pick one side or the other..most times I see the good/bad in both & end up with a hybrid view somewhere in the middle..[end rant]..../....just my evening meal to prepare & devour & some look-ins on my FB groups..ergo.."nite all"....[18:10 UTC-4]..../....

   I had mentioned in Wednesday's posting that it had  been arranged to have lunch with my sibs & their respective mates at/or about noon..so to make sure I had enough free-time this afternoon I decided that rather than post here yesterday I would play the games I normal play on "World of Solitaire" in the morning after poker yesterday afternoon..which I did..../....just a tad of a late start this morning..checked my FB groups & off for a hour+ session of poker on "Replay Poker"..not a great session but one decent hand late re-cooped most of my early losses & left only 8 chips on the table..posted to my game blog & had my day's play done by 11:15..sis & hubby(Bill)..picked me up & up to the next main street north..the restaurant sits right next to the Jefferson County Fair Grounds..fair runs in July..it's the oldest continuously operating fair in the USA..next year will be the 205th (link) & appropriately the restaurant next to It is named "Fairground Inn" now I had taken my smaller sling back & thought I had a pair of readers in it..nope..so my bro assisted..they have a complete menu but they make a great sandwich..mid-day meal..& also as I discovered ..ripple chips..no-brainer for the Old Trollie..a sausage sub with an iced tea..I should have asked if I could have gotten a 1/2 order..I was informed that the proper request is for a "box"..now back in the day it was called a "doggie bag" not that the dog every got any of it..woof..woof..so I've got my sandwich for tomorrow in the frig..just causal conversation but a nice time..got back around 13:30 & took a walk to Price Chopper & T J Maxx..some shallots..garlic..chive..pre-cooked/breaded shrimp & a box of "Star Crunch" & at T J's a bottle of sweet ginger chili sauce..../....I guess my plans to get some free time his afternoon worked better than I thought..other than shower & taking my meds & my evening meal have nothing else urgent to deal with..I had penciled in a walk to Aldi for tomorrow but may just decided to take it this today..anyways..ergo.."nite all"....[16:11 UTC-4]..../....

   It's been an interesting day & some of it was not that enjoyable..but it was interesting..I slept somewhat fitfully last night & awoke in a fog & not outside..the fog was between my ears & add to that my joints were stiff & sore & I was having major league balance issues..one of the effects of essential tremor..I was staggering around my rooms  like I's been on a 10 day binge & haven't touched a "drop" since the morning of October 25th 2017..it got better progressively as the day worn on & I was back to gimpy..grumpy old self by mid-morning,,now I've never been a morning person but today was ridiculous..I said interesting..not all enjoyable & parts of it no fun atall...got a pretty normal start to the day at least time-wise..very little on either "The Farthest Side (mod}" or "May the Far Side be with you(admin)" & was playing poker on "Replay Poker" by 04:13..& except for one dummkopf call played well but because of the aforementioned call left a few chips on the table & got right into my sim&solitaire play & even with taking time off to eat my 1st meal sitting in my recliner watching some of the Olympic coverage (which I most generally eat whilst playing on-line) was all done with the day's play..one draft posted & the other started & 2nd meal consumed (always eaten sitting in my recliner..today more Olympics) by just past 14:00..../....took the short walk to Ollie's bought a 3-pack of both under-wear & socks..some of my pairs of both have been getting a little over-worn..& than back to my rooms..really enjoyed the short walk..beautiful day..low humidity..a gentile breeze & a very comfortable temperature.../....still a few things to attend to..my daily shower & taking of my meds & perhaps a sit-down 'neath the shade of ye olde oak tree..my evening meal..a couple more games & just maybe a bit or watching of Olympic coverage..it's been an interesting day & by-enlarge a good one..ergo.."nite all"..../....

*[17:01 UTC-4]+..despite the dire forecast there were some "holes" in the storm so after checking the radar this morning the was a "dry" spot just after 09:00 so  I took the opportunity to take the short walk to Aldi..in fact the Sun peaked out from the clouds a couple of times whilst I was on my way there & back..except for a mango which I only occasionally buy just the /usual bananas..a bottle of worcestershire sauce..3 bottles of fruit flavored sparkling water & a quart of liquid egg whites..nothing out of the ordinary ..so the clerk check out my items & the bill came to 7$ even..I've shopped in grocery stores for years & whether a small or large order can never remember paying an exact dollar amount before..ever..??..just one of the weird oddities that occur from time to time..there was another "hole" just after I posted the weather so down the hill to Dollar General I went..still didn't have a couple of the items I had sought yesterday but did get the apple pocket pies & a couple of packages of  snicker doddle cookies..one my all-time faves (which I freely admit I'm munching on as I enter this posting)..../....slept rather poorly last night but have felt better as the day progressed..another crazy session of poker on "Replay Poker" but won a couple nice pots & left with more chips than I had brung..../....rest of the day has run pretty smoothly & surprisingly for a weekend the work-load on my two FB groups has been quite light..../....still my daily routine of shower & the taking of my meds to attend to & the prep & consumption of my evening meal..& maybe a game or three..ergo.."nite all"....[17:26 UTC-4]..../....
