Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

was overcast and rainy this morning but turned into a nice day, i spent most of it quietly, it turned a bit humid and i felt unwell most of the day, in fact for some reason the one cat decided that i needed comfort and jumped in my lap repeatedly, now if it's one thing i don't need on a warm, humid day it's a furry beast in my lap, eat a light supper ( a little pesto and some bread) and felt much better so played golf in the early evening, the course i play usually has a cool breeze in the evening and tonight was no exception, as i walked to the 4th tee a beautiful whit tailed deer crossed in front of me and spent sometime eating leaves from one of the bushes in a thicket on the right side of the 4th hole, we see them often out on the course although this is the first sighting i've had this year, last year i had a young deer come up to within about 15 feet of me, i guess to him i looked like just another animal....although wild the deer on the course have little fear for man because they see us out there all day and no one bothers them....truly a beautiful animal....i'm tired and will take my leave
