Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

as a item of fact, watertown is set up as a wheel, and the easiest way to get anywhere is often thru the center, know as public square, an old style traffic circle.....i was just thinking of going out to run some errands and get a little lunch...but will have to take an alternate route...this is the weekend of the annual St. Paddy's Day shindiggs........3 days of it...most centered on or near the square...if i want to go to the mall i'll have to come up with some kind of an end run to avoid the traffic....parade...annual 10k run...and those who have had more grog then corned beef.......must probably go east and north to end up west......and all for getting rid of a few snakes...sheessshhh!!!!!!
