Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

i have a cat on my lap this AM. not that unusual as it's a sunday morning, it's just me and the cats and smokie is lonely, problem is that she just will not sit quietly, right now she's taking her morning tongue bath and apparently i'm dirty too because she is licking my hands as i type....later on she will probably lay over my mouse arm...or do some butt typing......it's 37*F, and raining lightly this AM....after the cold winter we have had this feels warm....but with the rain an all as one of the old farmers i knew growing up used to say...."tarnation this damp weather's got my rhumatiz kicking up" ...........i woke up this morning really stiff and sore....it feels like somebody pour wet cement in all my joints...well ok all but one but you didn't have to get personal......(pause) lilli was wandering the house with her little cry like call, as translated into english..."i need my morning tummy rub".....i grew up with mostly dogs for pets and most of them would have done anything for a tummy rub, i've had mostly cats as an adult and this cat is the first one that i've had that will even let you within 30 miles of their tummy let alone request a tummy rub...hell she demands it......have not had a visitation from the 3rd cat yet, looks like she had found her spot for the day, she's sound a sleep in the papa-san......there are pictures of the cats at the bottom of this page in the attic.
