*[18:59 UTC-4]*[On MT-Today's Playlist]*..I decided to re-arrange my usual routine a little..I have been usual taking my shower & meds a little before 19:00 & then prepare & consume my evening meal & then head for bed.,.tonight same routine but started with shower & meds just before 18:00 so as I sit here tonight other than finishing this posting & a last look-in on..on the "Farthest Side" & "May the Far Side be with you" (I'm a mod on the former & an admin on the latter) my day is complete..../....yesterday just after 08:30 went up the to the bank to get my "10 day walking around money" now one thing or another I haven't seen the manager since mid-August but she was there so had a nice chat then to the tellers & another nice chat with two of them & the assistant manager..the whole crew there are very nice people & are very helpful as well..around mid day I took a walk to Price Chopper & T J Max,,some garlic..shallots..a package of pre-breaded/pre-cooked shrimp & a bottle of prepared horseradish..& then off to T J's..a bottle of roasted red bell pepper..a small bottle of red pepper flake & a bottle of spicy Chipotle sauce..(dang ..another entry in to the spell-check dictionary)..had some on my morning today boiled egg very nice but will need to use with great discretion..both of my hands have been damage over the years either in sport or on the job & with the hours I spend online with keyboard & mouse they sometimes get stiff & sore..so I've been using a pair of compression gloves w/copper..well Wilbur.. the old pair had seen their better days so off to Ollie's & a new pair..slept ok last night..just after I went to bed my left toes decided to start cramping..just get one worked out & another would occur..I have copper thread compassion sleeves for my feet put one on the left foot..problem solved..a off day at the poker table but right before I left went all-in with pocket Aces..won a 600 chip poi (remember..free site..faux money) & left with just over 400 chips I hadn't brung with me..just after 09:00 took a quick walk to both Big Lots & Aldi..didn't see anything at Big Lots..a rare occurrence..just the usual fare at Aldi save for another Philly cheese steak calzone..a late walk round the oft -mentioned "loop" & a quick stop at Dollar General for a couple of cherry pocket pies & a package of cookies..but a couple of really good days & the weather forecast calls for several more with daytime temperatures in the lower to mid 60s F..my kinds weather..my day is nearly at it's end..ergo.."nite all"....[19:35 UTC-5]..../....

 *[17:10 UTC-54]*..I got done with my online games & decided to  take a walk..now hadn't been out of my room all day save for a quick trip to the lobby to picket up some breakfast items for the next couple of day's & hadn't intended to venture out until the late afternoon early evening so hadn't bother to check the weather or glance outside for that matter..so when I did it was raining & according to the weather has been raining most of the day & rain is forecast for at least the daylight hours fro tomorrow as well so looks like another day in my rooms..decided to post here..& realized the last time I post was 4 days ago..bad Trollie..no biscuit..I have been posting my daily game results as/always to "Trollie's Game Room"..but have had several sound reasons why I haven't posted here..well at least from my POV..anyways..have over those three days hit about every store I usually trade at least once & in the case of Dollar General & Aldi's a couple of  times each..usually to get something I'd forgotten to get the time before & as always end up with something I didn't know I needed until I saw it..oy vey...../.....just after I retired last night my damaged left foot treated me to not one but three different cramps..finally got back up..I have a compression sleeves for my feet that I sometimes wear when walking out..w/copper thread..but rarely wear them when I sleep..so pulled one on my left foot & it decided to stop complaining & had a decent night's sleep howbeit an abbreviated one..foot & the rest of my oft-complaining joints have been quiet so far today..& the day has gone quite well save for a less than stellar session of poker..left way too many chips on the table.but then I'm reminded it ain't the rent money..just faux game money..nonetheless..still don't enjoy doing that..../....have spent some of the day watching a few episodes of NCIS..usually USA airs a multiple episodes on Tuesday but on Wednesday this week..??..../ ....not much left to do before I take my rest save for my daily shower/meds routine & my evening meal..probably a few more games & check-ins of both "The Farthest Side" & "May the Far Side be with you"..both have settled down over the last couple of day's & the work-load has been light & there hasn't been any member whom has "run afoul of FB's "community standards"..[knock wood]..ergo.."nite all"....[17:38 UTC-4]..../....

 *[15:27 UTC-4]*[On MT-Today's Playlist]..I didn't sleep very well & took me a while to get going yesterday morning..but off to start my day..got to thinking that the normal day for me to go get my "10 day walking around money" was this coming & even waiting to Saturday was an issue..not from a cash-flow issue but from the simple fact that I'd have to deal with the ATM..not always I sometimes have problems with the ATM because of my essential tremors..same issue I have when trying to input numbers on a touch tine phone..I'll have a little shake & hit a key twice rather than the allowable once..ergo..decided to go to Aldi a day earlier that I had originally planned & stop at the bank on the way back to my rooms & deal with a teller instead..which I did..got through most of the day & was considering sitting down & posting here but remember I needed to refill the prescription for one of my meds..checked the clock & had time to get to the in-store pharmacy at Price Chopper before it closed..& did so..any-ways that's my excuse for not posting last night..whilst I waited for the druggist to fill my prescription just picked up a few shallots & some chives.got my meds..checked out & off to T J Maxx & got a bottle of sweet chili sauce & a nice chat with "H"..but the late walk threw me off schedule a little & never hit the hay until just after 21:00..but got right to sleep..the next time I saw the clock it was nearly 03:30..can't remember the last time I slept 6+ hours with out an issue (guess the diuretic took pity on me)..got a jump start on the day..not the best of sessions on "Replay Poker" but did manage to escape with a few chips I'd not brung with me & by 09:00 was well into my day..checked the weather looked clear of rain..walked out the backdoor..very light rain..back to my rooms.. donned my rain gear & out the back door..no rain..Mother Nature's sick sense of humor got me again..off to Ollie's & a container of granulated onion..something I've been using in my rustic egg-white frittatas..a larger amount than I had wanted but decided the price was right so got it & a chat with a new kid..than to Dollar General..the assistant manager saw me and we have pies..saw four grabbed..'um..said I.."now you don/t" she said "I've got 4 more..want them" ..yup..had a chat about the fact they've been having trouble getting some standard items asked about snicker doodle cookies..she took off..opened a box that had been delivered this morning & I  have my cookies..so  been a good day so far..just a few things to wrap up before I take my rest..ergo .."nite all"....[16:00 UTC-4]..../....

 *[16:12 UTC-4]..it's a mid-70s sunny day here in ye olde Northcountry of NYS & I haven't gotten off my lazy tuckus to go out & enjoy the day..perhaps I will later..but I sit here total flabbergasted (and yes it is legitimate word..must be spell check knew it) but more about that later..got up tight around the usual time but it took forever to get my old bones & brain functioning at an accept--able level & at least at that point nothing earthshaking on either of the two FB groups I'm either a mod or an admin on & off to  play some poker on "Replay Poker"..I've had better days & worse ones..and started my day's game play..now I mentioned somewhere below that we had had an admin booted by FB for posting a Larson cartoon which had at least from FB's "bot's" perspective a "bad word"..so whilst checking pending posts saw that a member had submitted said post for the group..I of course declined it & sent him a PM as to why..but then thought (mistakenly so) that it would be a good idea to post a warning to the group but couldn't actually post it..but a vague description which the "bot" won't pickup..well they finally got the idea right & what did 5 of them try to do..yup..post the dang thing..hence my current flabbergasted state..[throws his hands in the air in disbelief] ..anyways I decided to delete my post warning them..but I can't believe that anyone would deliberately as we would have said back in the day "poke the bear"[link]..like it or not if you want to play in the "play ground" that's FB..it's their ball & you have to play by their rules..you really don't have another choice..complain about it if you must..but as we used to say back in the day "it's their way or the highway..[just shakes his old grey head]..../....[17:41 UTC-4]..so after committing the above to a draft..I donned my walking shorts..a pair of sneakers..grabbed my hat..cane & sling bag & took a leisurely stroll around the oft-mentioned "loop" ..decided to forego the traditional sit-down on the benches at the intersection of Western & Arsenal & continued my walk with a brief stop at Dollar General..as has been the case as of late they are out of everything I'd want & have shelves full of things I'd never dream of buying..anyways..back to my rooms & played a couple games of Spades on "24/7 games.com" & sat down to finish this posting..all that's left of the day is my shower & meds..prepping & consuming my even repast & maybe some "Beat Bobby Flay"..anyways & ergo.."nite all"....[17:51 UTC-4]..../....

 *[17:27 UTC-4]*..overslept again but never hit the sheets last night until just after 21:00 but the day has run pretty smoothly & virtually every thing that needs to be done except for those things that I do as a matter of course towards the end of my day is done..took an hour off for 1st meal & watched an NCIS episode..and had a good start on everything by about 12:00 & despite the predictions of rain thru most of the daylight hours today the storm had just pasted us by here so decided to take a walk to Price Chopper & T J Maxx..was in the mid-60s & a decent breeze..so a long sleeve shirt, sweat pants & my vest windbreaker..well Wilbur..by the time I got my shopping done & headed back to my rooms..sun was out..no breeze to speak of & the temperature was in the upper 70s F..I was dressed way too warm & broke a fairly heavy sweat,,but then I remembered the adage hereabouts ..if you don't like the weather here..wait 15 minutes.,it will probably change..bought a bottle of Honey Aleppo Pepper at T J Maxx ..never have had it & frankly never had heard about it but then if it's a spice..I'll try it..it is sweet but has quite a "kick" from the pepper..no sure just yet how or in what I'll use it but in time I will figure that out..at Price Chopper found some apple pocket pies..not the same as the ones I had been getting at Dollar General which they have been not getting..should be an adequate replacement..well I did it again..took a look in the draw I keep my snacks in..which I freely admit was a mess & which I haven't sorted thru for quite awhile..didn't see that many "Star Crunch"(chocolate covered puffed rice) one of my fav after-dinner bites ..got a box..well Wilbur..when I got back to my rooms I straighten & re-organized the drawer & discovered that I now could be accused of hording them..dang..got better than two boxes of them..dummkopf..../....checked my email before sitting down to compose this post..had eleven spam mails in one of my two accounts..now I've been online first at work from 1994 & at home from 1996..(when my "D" went to college & had access to email so got my first home computer w/internet access..dial-up access) so I've been around the net for awhile..even played with the meowers sometimes(link)..ergo..am way to old of hand to fall for their games & can't understand why anybody would..[shakes his old grey head)..anyways..my shower/meds & evening meal await me..ergo.."nite all"....[18:07 UTC-4]..../....

 *[17:22 UTC-4]*..it's been since Friday since I'v posted last..bad Trollie..no biscuit..but I have some very sound reasons behind me & as some would have said before even my time..some moving picture as well..I have referred often to the lack of sometimes any thing on "the old boob-tube"(aka:television) & have often said that Newton N Minow speech when  he call commercial TV in 1961 "The Vast Wasteland" I've always thought he was way to optimistic in his appraisal of it [link] anyways..occasionally a station/network does I think quite accidentally air a movie that I actually like..as luck would have it happen two days in a row.. TBS@14:30 on Saturday aired "Justice League" I movie I enjoy..but I think if they really wanted an Affleck as Batman they would have been better served getting the Aflac Duck (sorry could resist the temptation)..& Sunday BBC-American@17.01 aired "The Hunt for Red October" also one of my favorite flicks..so I just sat down in my old recliner & had some snacks & vegged out for a spell & enjoyed the movies..maybe not the best of excuses but it's my story & my blog & I'm sticking to it....'....walked several times over the last three days..a couple of times to Big Lots..once to Aldi..once to Ollie's & all three days to Dollar General..there hunting the lately elusive apple pocket pie..it must be out of season because unfortunately found none..../....had a very fitful night's sleep last night..between having a difficult time falling to sleep between having trouble finding a comfortable position & my mind refused to comply as well..just too many random thoughts & the diuretic I take for my high blood pressure working overtime..was a restless night..another heavy work load on "May the Far Side be with you"..the "natives have been restless" & I had to plow thru a bunch of "mod alerts" & "member reported content" & then a vary dismal session on "Replay Poker"..just wasn't catching & took a couple of "bad beats"[link]..but the rest of the day has run pretty smoothly..../....according to the weather forecast rain & thunderstorms are to begin about 16:00 on Tuesday & continue through most of Wednesday as well..a quick checked of my pantry & frig tells me I've have plenty on hand to ride out the storm safe & dry in my "fortress of solitude"..../....my daily shower & taking of my meds lies before me as my evening meal..haven't check the TV schedule to see if perchance there could be sometime on this evening to occupy my time..three days in-a-row..not likely..but than there is YT..my FB  groups & more games to be played..ergo.."nite all"....[18:09 UTC-4]..../....*[MT-Today's Playlist]*..../....

 *[16:57 UTC-4]*..been an interesting day so far..quiet day save for a walk I made just after noon to Big Lots but except that & the short walk I made to the "lobby" to pickup items for my first meal I've been in my rooms the entire day..had gotten involved online last night & never retires until 21:00..a decent night's sleep but awoke just after 03:30 & decided that I might as well get the day started..a little load on the FB groups & played my first hand of poker 61 minutes earlier than yesterday's..not a great round card wise although I did finish marginally ahead..but played with a couple of players I've been at  table with before & had a nice chat (built in chat on the game)..took about an hour off to watch an NCIS episode & consume my morning meal..had got a head start on today's play last night so was all done with play by just after 12:00..decided to delay 2nd meal & take the walk mentioned above..wasn't really looking for anything specific really just an excuse to walk..found a bottle of sweet ginger chilly sauce..not the brand I've been using but since I go thru it fairly quickly (it's one of the ingredients used nightly in my rustic egg-white frittata which I have for  evening meal almost every night)..so decided to try it..also picked up a tin of smoked oysters..which I occasion-ally enjoy as a snack & saw a can of chopped clams..light bulb went off..got in the check-out line..had a short chat with the assistant manager of the bank I use who was in the line ahead of me..also ahead of me were a couple of peoples who had full shopping carts..took it seemed like forever to get thru the line..i'm not a patient man..I do realize that "Patience is a Virtue" but it is virtue I neither have or desire to obtain..bad Trollie..no biscuit..got back to my rooms..re:the aforementioned light bulb..made a bag of microwavable pasta..the clams..some of my "room-made" cocktail sauce..some garlic aioli..chopped shallots..salt..pepper & a heated piece of naan bread w/evoo..salt..pepper & roasted garlic powder.."washed down" with an orange soda..a very enjoy-able 2nd meal..../...still a few hours left in the day..checked the TV schedule for tomorrow & TBS is airing 'Justice League" at 14:30..so will spend some of the rest of my day getting a head start on tomorrow's sims&solitaire play so I can have everything finished before it starts..ergo.."nite all"....[16:37 UTC-4]..../....

 *[14:51 UTC-4]..been a weird day so far & I haven't been out of my "fortress of solitude" as of yet..first of all a decent nights sleep..saw the clock at just past 01:00 (had layed down about 20:30) & the next time I surfaced it was 04:24..got online line checked my FB groups & on "May the Far Side be with you" one of the other admins had run afoul of FB's "community standards" & in the notice he was listed as a "former admin"..no explanation..have tried to get a hold of him on messenger but as/of yet have gotten no response..??..& as/always FB doesn't show you the offending post or comment but from the nature of the violation & knowing that this individual only posts Larson Cartoons..I'm pretty sure I know which one he posted..a tad mean spirited maybe ..but not worthy of censorship..the problem is that RB has a "bot(s)" which are programmed to pick up on particular words..but not on the context the word is used in..would I have posted or approved it being posted..no..but I fear that he's either by put in the "naughty room" for 30 days or maybe booted & I'm sure it was posted in all innocence..I only joined FB a little over five years ago because a game I was playing..some of the other players had created an FB group for it & decided to join it & in the process of "wandering around" found some ex-high school classmates & friends I haven't seen in the flesh since the last Saturday in June of 1966..and with few exceptions have refrained making any social..political or religious comments on FB..just don't think it's the right platform for that..now Usenet back in the day..ah..but the advent of the new "community standards" deal..troubling..total by accident while vetting new member requests I've viewed pages on FB that I would describe as "soft porn" & got a friend request from a "sweet young thing" with "bedroom action pictures" on her time line..apparently not in violation of "community standards" ....????....[end rant]...we do have a forecast for a 50% chance of rain late evening but the forecast for the weekend looks good....daytime highs in the mid-70's F & lows in the lower 60s F..frankly I wishing for an early frost..I enjoy both the Autumn weather & the trees in their best Fall colors..../....other than the above mentioned the day has run quite smoothly..a wild session on "Replay"..loose/aggressive play reigned..only won 7 posts..but 2 were of a very nice size..so left the session with more chips than I had brung with me..always a good thing..../....haven't really giving the rest of the day much thought..but I'm sure I can find something to keep myself busy..ergo.."nite all"....[15:28 UTC-4]..../....

*[15:09 UTC-4]*..when i checked the weather yesterday afternoon after I had completed my online game play & prepared drafts & posted to "Trollie's Game Room" I checked the weather & the prediction than was for rain all day today & Thursday morning..& decided my best course of action was to take care of a couple of errands I needed to run the next couple of days..so took the walk to the west & Speedway convenience store for a tube of chew..dang price has gone up again..most of it's state tax..got back..had taken my shoes off & than decided to take the short walk up the hill to the bank for my "10 day walking around money" a day or two early but & than just an early evening walk around the oft-mentioned "loop"..basically took the rest of the day off..a decent night's sleep & got right at the day's game play..& was all done with everything by just  before 14:00 which included a break for my /usual mid-day sandwich & a little "Paw Patrol"..looked out the window & it appeared the rain has stopped..checked the weather storm had past & a check of the long term forecast calls for the next chance of rain higher the 20% is next Wednesday..the dang weathermen got me again..on the other hand if I ignored the forecast & didn't take precautions it would probably rain as we would have said back in the day "cats & dogs" for a solid week..dang..so..ergo..just after 14:00 went off to Aldi..nothing out of the ordinary..just the /usual fare..../....it's funny how memories from the past will come back when you least expect it..my junior(11th grade) year in high I decided to take mechanical drawing as an elective..at the time I was considering going to college for a science degree..possibly bionics & thought it might come in handy..well when they had built the new junior high wing(7th to 9th grade}they had moved all the shops & art rooms into that building..really nice art rooms..well we had some tome in the drawing class one day & made a very nice sign that said "Welcome to the Zoo" &  placed it over the entry to the junior high grade..the story I heard was when the principle saw it his comment was..ah mechanical drawing..yup..I know who did it.. leave it..it fits..(I had a reputation..well earned..as a prankster)..../....another..soccer game..tried a scissors kick..hit the cross-bar..ball bounces back & I caught a defender's boot in the face..guys were keeping me down..coach comes out & asks "are you dizzy"..I replied "no more than usual coach"..he said "than why are you still down" reply.."they held me down"..took me out for a couple on minutes & I went back in..../....just a few details to iron-out before I take my rest..ergo.."nite all"....[15:37 UTC-4]..../....

 *[05:40 UTC-4]*..I sitting here early..always up around this time..just finished a good day at the tables on "Replay Poker"..Labor Day holiday here in the USA & got thinking about how many holidays I worked in the past..am retired now..but two leap to mind..for many years I ran the shipping/receiving & warehousing department for a small factory..we had a rush load to Cali & had to load on Christmas Day..since I had to go in to deal with the paper work..told my guys to enjoy the day..knew the driver well..an independent who ran veggies into Boston or NYC & had taken loads back to Cali for us several times..so took the wife & my d..they chatted with him whilst I loaded the truck..but the wild one..got a call about 13:00 on Easter..plant was right next to the Black River [link] which has a nasty habit of overflowing it's banks almost every spring..usually we'd be okay because where it flowed by the plant it was in a fairly deep "cut"..but this particular year it set a record for being over "flood stage" & we had about 2&1/2 feet of water in the parking lot..the building was an island..first job was to sandbag the 4 silos(120K lbs capacity/)..got hold of a local driver to move about 10 storage trailers..& then move finished goods to an off-site warehouse..all this time trudging thru the water..oy vey..about 23 hours later..I had everything me & the guys had to do..done..went home & slept about 12 hours straight..[shakes his old grey head]..../....*[15:23 UTC-4}..weather was nasty for most of the morning..although I didn't heard any thunder (whether it's because I live in a cement block building or that I'm partially deaf I honestly don't know) but did see several flashes of lightening thru my window..anyways had my day well in-hand by just after 12:00 so checked the radar & the storm had past..well at least the rain..the wind was still blowing at about 15 mph & you could still sense the moisture in the air..just a quick walk down to Dollar General & a 6-pack of orange soda..../....at this point in the day I have all my on-line gaming down..have posted to "Tollie's Game Room" but have a draft to finish there..has been a fairly busy day on FB..both on my 2 groups & my timeline..posted the earlier entry here on my timeline as well..have gotten some interesting feed-back..I have about 30  friends on FB that I reconnected with thru FB that I haven't see in the flesh as it were since the last Saturday in June.1966..(high school graduation) left for Watertown NY the next day & haven't been back that way more than a hand full of times in the last 55 years..../....just a few things to wrap-up before I take my rest..ergo.."nite all"....[15:41]..../....

 *[16:42 UTC-4]*[+61*F_cloudy_winds from the n/n/w@8 mph_humidity:68%_barometer:29.96"/\_overnight Lo:+53*F_mostly cloudy_winds from the north@5>10 mph_humidity:76%_Friday's Hi:69*F_considerable cloudiness_winds from the n/n/w@5>10 mph_humidity:69%_overnight Lo:52*F_partly cloudy_winds light&variable_humidity:88%]*[On MT-Today's Playlist]]*..When I checked the weather for the coming week last night rain for at least part of the day was forecast for Sunday thru Friday..now Sunday/Monday & Wednesday/Thursday w/ daytime highs all six days in the upper 60s to mid-70s..my kind of weather..well.. minus the rain anyways..Monday is "Labor Day(link)" here in the USA..it's always celebrated on the first Monday in September.. the last "long weekend" of the Summer..but when I was a kid in public school here it had quite a different meaning..in New York State the schools always opened on the Wednesday after "Labor Day" & so maybe I was a weird kid..check that..I was a weird kid..I always looked forward to the new school year..ours had a great library & I was a noted "library rat"..../....a better night's sleep last night than the night before..was online by 04:00 & playing poker soon after..stayed out of the way most of the session ..wild..loose play reigned & I managed to escape after 64 minutes played with 1 more chip than I had brung to the table..a moral victory at least..just after 09:00 took a walk first to Big Lots..to pick up another package of light rye Wasa bread..now I had gotten a small bottle of very nice maple syrup@ Ollie's..12.5 oz for 4.99$..butter flavored..pricey..but well worth it..so whilst browsing thru Big Lots..found they carried the same brand & as well as "butter" had a "spicy" (a kick of habanero)..for 4$..ergo.. another bargain to remember..had a taste after getting back to my rooms..nice..however will use it with great discretion..has quite a kick ..then off to Aldi..just the usual fare but they were quite busy so took a little longer to check-out than/usual..but other than that has been a very restful..pleasant & quite day...even with the hour walk & a break at 12:30 for my tradition sandwich..ripple chips & today a ginger ale..& since Nick is back on the school year schedule..some "Paw Patrol"...../....just a couple of hours remain in the day..a couple of look-ins on my FB groups..shower & taking of my meds..my evening meal..probably a couple episodes of "Beat Bobby Flay"..anyways & ergo.."a goodnight to one & all"....[16:52 UTC-4]..../....
