Awoke in a weird place this AM…spent too much time in a cold warehouse right off the bat and took me hours to warm up…but despite all went to worship team…had a great time…and have spent the last couple of hours watching big break V and king of Vegas…still really haven’t connected with any of the players on BBV but my fav is still alive on KoV…

It has not been the greatest day of my life…no where near the worst day…that anniversary is coming up next Sunday…but enough said about that…

Sunday, February 26, 2006

I actually felt decent this AM…was in the process of waking up…when the thought crossed my mind that it had snowed last night…dang…they, that is the city DPW had plowed and although it was not bad, was more then my low slung car could have driven through…dang…got to church early…T-man was leading worship team this AM and not a good start to warm ups…had all kinds of issues although I accept the new term issues rather then calling them problems…I struggle with the new verbiage)…

Got home about 11:30 and absolutely crashed out…dang…had things that needed to be done…and had no energy to do them…

Watched the match play…neither of the matches were won by the player I would have chosen…ah well

This has not been a good day physically for me…have felt way under par most of the day…had a cramp in my leg while watching a little tube that was a nasty as I think I’ve ever had…some might refer to it as a charley horse…but if it was it was a whole head of horses…

Put in an hour and a half at work this AM…just did the bare minimum…but as I get my clerk back next week…I can get caught up as easy Monday as I could today…and as purchasing isn’t in today…Monday will be time enough…

Have spent most of the day watching the two rounds of the match play golf tournament…the networks have to hate the results so far as the “name” players by enlarge have been sent packing…so the sports fan ( read non golf fan) will probably not watch…but my man DL III is in the finals so I will be “glued” to the set…

Friday, February 24, 2006

I’ve been watching the world match play tournament…and it has turned into a ratings disaster for the network televising it…in the round of 8 you have 1 one seed, 1 three seed, 2 five seeds, a six seed, an eleven seed, a thirteenth seed and a fifteen seed…and the 1st seed is the goose who is not really anyone who will draw any ratings…the only name left is DL III…most of the high seeds got whipped today…looks like an interesting field left from a players perspective…but from the casual viewers point of view a disaster ratings wise…well match play does not always favor the best player…only the one who can “grind it out”.

Work was well work…with a few minor exceptions not a bad day…

Made some wraps for dinner…made 3 and ate two with coffee…lunch for tomorrow is already in the frig…must work a few hours tomorrow AM, but as my boss probably won’t be in, sinus infection…work time is when I get there…

Have spent a gentle night…quality time with my two cats…a little tube…a little stronghold crusader…physically I’m beat down but otherwise am a-okay…

The day looked like from the beginning (the workday that is) to be relatively calm and easy…but with every page…with every phone call or email the day just was in a constant situation of ratcheting up to a fairly busy and most definitely an annoying day…

Actually got transfers on back to back days which hasn’t happened for months…discussed the situation with production and have decided to change the philosophy a bit…the T-man was quick to remind me that he had suggested that change weeks ago but I developed a case of old timers and denied he ever had suggested it…not true but must save face…

Been a gentile night once home and out of the maelstrom that is work…

Cashed check…gassed the car…am still very pissed off about pre-paying if it’s a cash deal…but the gas is about the cheapest in town…and on the way…but I might change stations based on principal alone…must think about that…got a few groceries and got take out for dinner…

Finally I actually agreed with a vote out on the current survivor…I’m a bit shocked that the team that seems to be in control is in control but at least the down team is starting to make wise choices…I love to hate watching survivor…I love to be very critical of the so called “strategy”…’taint strategy at all but purely tactics or maybe occasionally grand tactics…dang I’d wish they would get the dang terms right…got home in time to watch the tag end of the match play golf this evening…followed the matches from work on the computer but with the day I had…couldn’t keep that close of tabs…I love match play…it is a rarity in pro golf but IMHO it is golf at it’s best…

Wednesday, February 22, 2006

I had one of those days where 45 minutes to an hour were the difference between an easy job and a nightmare…I got critical information…but too late to do anything about it…not a difficult day but a day that could of, should have been a piece of cake and just flat wasn’t…

Easy, restfully night

A frustrating work day…on almost every level…and although I was in a very negative place on practically all levels went to worship team practice anyways…and although I came off practice still physically at low ebb, on ever other level was firing on all cylinders…I love singing harmony and I love nothing better then singing very close harmony with another harmony singer…last practice the N-lady and I knit an absolutely rug with her on a 2nd soprano/high alto line with me doing an alto/high tenor line…tonight the M-lady and I on one song just pulled off an absolute brick with her on a contralto line and me weaving a tenor/high tenor/counter tenor line around her solid line…pure joy…I love making music…and I particularly am fond of making music in small groups…normal set is 4 or 5 instrumentalists and 3 to 5 vocalists…pure joy…I love to hear the M-lady sing…she has a very pure tone…and although she lacks experience there is a natural talent there that is just blossoming…she only has to recognize her talent…the talent is there…she just needs to realize that and let it out…and she is starting to let the inhibitions go and just go for it…a beautiful thing to see..

Have spent the rest of the night watching two of my fav shows…big break on the golf channel and king of Vegas on spike…with cat smokey on my lap most of the night…she loves to sit on me hanging off on my legs, which I had a problem with tonight…although she only weighs 8 or 9 pounds was too much for my sore limbs to stand…but I tolerated it none the less…

Monday, February 20, 2006

This has been the best of days and the worst of days…took a vacation day today as I really needed to get some work done on the car…oil change et al that was really like 6 weeks too late…if you go by the 3 months or 3000 miles stick…but only had like 1350 miles since the last change…talk to daughter yesterday who was looking for some of her stuff I had stored…she had today off (presidents day in the old usa)…actually the whole week for mid winter break…(she teaches instrumental music and is a math tutor at a very small school up in St Lawrence county)…so we had arranged to do lunch…

I was looking forward to sleeping in this AM and awoke a tad past 5 AM and sleep just fitfully until I finally got up at bit after 8 AM…physically in a very bad place…mentally worse and just didn’t feel like doing squat…

But arranged for a 2 PM appointment for the car work…ran a few errands early…well after shoveling the drive and the walk…maybe 6” of snow last night…but was plowed in pretty good and as my car is fairly low slung more then I could have drive through…although I was greatly tempted…

Went to the fair grounds inn for lunch…aptly named as it sits right next to the Jefferson county fair grounds…a bit of trivia is that the Jeff county fair is the oldest continually run county fair is the usa…a family style Italian restaurant, but the real deal is lunch…best sandwich menu in the county…SJ had a Rueben, and I had a mixed Italian…meat balls, a really fine grind Italian sausage on a huge bun with onions, pepper, and a excellent sauce…also had a really nice French onion soup with coffee…and although the meal and the chat improved all but the physical aspect of the day was feeling lousy physically afterwards…almost cancelled the appointment for the car…but as I won’t have a chance to reschedule for a week or so…went and had a neat chat with the counter man and an African American soldier from Fort Drum…feel pretty good tonight…still physically wreaked, but rested and stress free…got a call from the b shift foreman at work…apologized for interrupting my vacation day but had a question only I could answer…rarely have a work day off without at least one such call…part of the deal…which I accept…with some reluctance…

Physically a very low day…service went okay but did have a struggle with the voice during second service worship team…have a bit of a cold…but have basically crashed out physically this afternoon into evening…have a vacation day tomorrow…need to get some work done on the car and need a day where the alarm clock has the day off…

Daughter called tonight wanting her porcelain doll collection which has been stored in my house for the last several years…she finally has a spot for them as she and her hubby have been doing to renovations to their place…actually found with almost no trouble where my ex put them…as daughter is off this week…will take them up tomorrow and we probably will do a little lunch…

Have gotten a fair amount of snow today…looks like 8” or so but as it is still snowing will wait to deal with it until the ‘morrow…

Saturday, February 18, 2006

I’m really not sure what kind of a day I’ve had because I’ve spent most of it in a “fog”…I need to get up early tomorrow but I’ve got a vacation day scheduled for Monday…need to get some work done on the car…but really needed to have a day without an alarm clock…I am a night person who by fate and job description is forced to work days…

Thursday, February 16, 2006

I will say nothing about the workday other then I will try very hard to forget that this day ever existed, but will probably be plagued by it in nightmares for the rest of my life…

We got a mild ice storm today…virtually everything is coated with ¼” of ice but it seems to have abated…and is supposed to be warm enough tomorrow to remove said ice…

I was really p*ssed at the gas station I usually fill up at…new policy…if I am paying cash which I always do…I have to pay before filling…but as I always “top of the tank” I have no idea how much that is…so rather the fill and pay…I have to pay…fill and go back in to get my change…who’s brilliant idea was that…I can’t decide whether they are trying to prevent people from filling and then taking off without paying…nah…or whether they’re trying to force me to use a credit card…thus cutting down the amount of cash in the till and making robbery or theft by employees less inviting…or if it just some suits brilliant idea…despite the fact that that station is the most convenient for me…I think they just lost my business…

I will never understand survivor…misty was voted off tonight…not a physical threat to anyone but probably smarter then the other 13 put together…why vote off an asset that is no threat…but on the other hand she had the ultimate curse…she was my fav of the remaining 14 and that means she’s gone…(hehe)…nuts…

I am at physically low ebb tonight…two very nasty days in a row at work…but strangely I feel good otherwise…in all other ways I am “centered” tonight…despite the fact that physically I am hurting…

Before I launch another novella I will say…

I have gone through 59 winters, well make that 58 and one half…and this one is the strangest I remember….(obviously the first 5 or so are a blur)…we got 15+ inches of snow Sunday into early Monday…and it was in the 50's F today…not the first time this has happened this winter…I think we’ve gotten more rain then snow…and we are in a part pf upstate NY that’s know for cold and lake effect snow…really a strange winter…

I got physically beat up at work today…3+ hours on the forklift is enough to beat you up physically even if you aren’t 58 years old…but add into that the gorilla load that a baled scrap load can be…dang I hurt all over…stopped for take out seafood tonight…and basically shocked the fry cook…I usually get a half pound of deep fried haddock…and 12 ozs. of fries…but added a quarter pound of deep fried squid tonight…a couple of side salads…and as I checked out noticed some small pieces of Crogan baloney…and added that to the deal…it would be impossible to explain what Crogan baloney is other then to say that it is a very interesting spiced sausage that is found only in the northcountry of NY, and only made by a few places in and around the little burg of Crogan…

But have kicked back and relaxed tonight…one outbound tomorrow…scheduled for the AM and I will take tomorrow PM off if I can swing it…

As I looked at the post counter on my dashboard tonight this post makes only 58 posts left to hit 2000 posts to this slag heap…I am amazed that I’ve actually been involved in this blogging thing long enough to approach that number of posts…and it has held my interest long enough to approach that number...
I have spent almost the entire night with a cat on my lap, the two remaining cats have taken turns rotating on the lap…as I type this it’s aggie’s turn…watched the dog show on usa network…not happy with the eventual winner but I seldom am…and also king of Vegas on spike…and easy night…a gentile night…but it’s late and I must to bed

I didn’t post last night, I watched the first group of the dog show on the usa network…came to the computer to post and just crashed out…said forget it and crawled into bed…was asleep before 9 PM…I feel like I’ve done nothing but shovel snow today…we got 12+ inches of snow last night and I feel like that’s all I’ve dealt with today both at home and at work…

Work over tonight as one of the trucking companies was late…normally I just leave instructions for production to load the truck…but as it was a split load between the factory and the satellite warehouse I really needed to stay and do the load myself…stopped at the bread outlet…got home and discovered they had plowed again…dang…am worn out physically tonight…but have had a gentle night…and although physically I’m spent feel well otherwise…

I’ve been playing with the idea over the last couple of months of growing a full beard…I’ve had a moustache forever and a goatee for almost a year…but I looked into the mirror tonight and it was like…forget the full beard…it just isn’t working…actually my first impulse was to trim it…but after a brief attempt to do so …it was…nah…it’s out of here…mustache and goatee are still intact but the rest is gone down the drain of the bathroom sink…

If you add up the pluses and minuses of the day I below zero…way below zero…cold is almost good but it the breaking up of the cold the voice is way below 100%…worship team was a struggle…fought the voice in class as well…and knees are killing me…I’m headed to a hot bath and an early night…

Back from a very hot bath…moist heat is really the only thing that will ever “knock down” the pain from my chronic tendinitis. (in case you are not familiar with preceding word…from Merriam-Webster online dictionary:

Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

tendinitis

One entry found for tendinitis.

Main Entry: ten·di·ni·tis
Variant(s): or ten·don·itis /"ten-d&-'nI-t&s/
Function: noun
Etymology: tendinitis from New Latin, from tendin-, tendo + -itis; tendonitis from tendon + -itis
: inflammation of a tendon

However M-W does nor describe the level of pain and frustration associated with the above…I’ve dealt with it for over 40 years now and tonight…I’m not dealing well…

Spent more time at work this AM then I had intended, figured I could pop in for an hour and get out of there but was there 1.7 hours…had to make a run to the warehouse to check 0092 count, and then had various other delays…including but not just a computer lockup…stop at the bread outlet and got something called bagel bread…not sure how to describe it’s a tad weird…some of the elements of bread and some of the characteristics of a bagel…not bad but not sure I’ll ever get it again…as with most compromises…it tries for the middle ground and although it might achieve the middle ground who the heck wants to stand there (hehe)
But the day, that is other then the very strange sandwiches I’ve had with the aforementioned bagel bread…has been gentle and kind to the trollie…a weird result from the passing of cat Lilly is that the two remaining seem to be working out a truce…Smoky was Lilly’s main “bud”, and Aggie was her main foil…and while there has been a great deal of animosity between the remaining two in the past they seem to be coming to a more cordial place…I am always blow away but the combination of dealing with a situation and just refusing to deal with it other then to attack and hiss and spit which is a cat…can't live with them…can't live without them…unlike the female of the human species…which at my age I can live without…
Need to think about bath and sleep, as I need to be at church by 8AM on the morrow, worship team is involved in both services and I teach adult Christian ed. between the two services…makes for a 3.5 hour commitment every Sunday which I both enjoy…and at times regret when I really would like to sleep in at least one day a week…but I will deal and get over it…I need to make an appearance at work every day the plant is open unless I can con my boss into taking one of the weekend days…right now we are working 24/6…but at times that’s 24/7…and that really gets to be a drag because I either have to get in to work by 6:30 or & AM or stop on my way home from church…either way a pain in the neck…
(Note: trollie just realizes he is on the second page of this post in “word” and had not intended to write a novella tonight…wonders if he got stop now or if he will continue to babble like a brook)…

Has turned cold the last week or so…actually what I should say is that it has turned seasonal…this has been the strangest winter I’ve ever seen up here in the northcountry…has been very uncharacteristically warm and rainy…if mid 30’s can be considered warm, but for a north country winter that’s absolutely steaming…was –16*F Thursday morning which is actually quite typical for this time of year here, but since it hasn’t been typical this year I’m struggling with the drop in temperature…knees are killing me tonight…had to resort to a very early application of heat rub on the bad knee…arthritis is killing me tonight…I have learned to deal with…even ignore a certain background level of pain that comes with the arthritis…but to night I can not ignore it and am having a great deal of problems dealing with it…
Nite all…

Friday, February 10, 2006

It was dang cold this AM…an actually –16*F…no idea what the wind chill was but there was a pretty heavy ice fog coming off the old black river which I must pass on my commute and which the plant I work at rests beside…I needed to unload the transfer at the barely heated warehouse and despite waiting a bit still frozen my arse off…in fact several hours later I’m still not truly warm and am headed for a very hot bath…
The old server is dead…whether by virus, worm or old age…proclaimed by MS themselves who tried to fix the problem for a day and a half and gave up…but the new online system while a tad slower is running fine…
Finally got permission to run orders late…got a fair amount done but didn’t have enough time to get caught back up…but should get it covered Monday…must put in a few tomorrow but as my boss is not going to be in…can get there when I want too…check that…I really don’t want too…anywho…can get there when I get there…
Was pretty well toast when I left so decided to stop at a subway that’s on the way home and get a sub…only one sub exists for the trollie…a roast beef sub…with the “works”…
Cats have been weird tonight…the two remaining have demanded quality time from me…(if you check done to the post for Sunday 2/5 you will discover the demise of cat #3…d*mn)…and I think the remaining two are still coming to grips with in one case their bud and in the other case their enemy…
Have spent the night playing a very passive…economic style game of stronghold crusader with one AI ally and 3 AI opponents…
A little Rachel Raye and $40 dollars a day…
A quiet, gentle night…
(A note to nephew Nate…I see by the sitemeter that you’ve been sneaking around here again…leaves a comment once in awhile even if it is insulting…give me your best shot)

Thursday, February 9, 2006

It was like the work day was really two different days…the day before noon and the day afternoon…the early day was a nightmare but it smoothed out and the end of the day wasn’t bad…normal Thursday routine…cashed check…got groceries…really only needed some food staples…a few errands and got take out fish for supper…and a gentle night…

Wednesday, February 8, 2006

I have had a very gentle, very stress free, very nice night…made a great “pot” tonight…see ingredients below…not a recipe…never use one…just put what I have in a “pot” to simmer and adjust spices as I go…not really a soup…or a stew or a boiled dinner…elements of all three but really can’t be called any of the three…a little tube, a little PC game(s)…a little blogshares…a little IRC channel…a restful night that I seriously needed…
Nite All
Work was work…some idiot at work opened the wrong attachment apparently and we have a very nasty virus in the servers…fortunately we are almost fully converted to net based system but still a pain…
As I write this cat smoky is snoring on my bed…dang that cat could snore the siding off the house…
Got 2 country pork ribs with bone in last week and thawed them and made a “pot” tonight…the aforementioned ribs…somewhere between a half and three quarters of a pound…potatoes, onions, garlic, cabbage, a bay leaf, a chicken bouillon cube, salt and pepper, and water. Simmered a tad over two hours…cut the meat from the bone and added a can of yellow wax beans and 3 hands full of extra wide egg noodles…pure comfort food joy…actually except for the flavor of those ribs that pervade the entire “pot”…the meat really takes a back seat in this one to the veggies…

Tuesday, February 7, 2006

Work actually went okay…I got up an hour early to deal with the snow we got yesterday and the mess that was plowed into my drive…took about 30 minutes to clean out the drive…but work despite a bunch of problems (trollie refuses to call problems issues…)…and a few minor problems and one major one went…like I said okay…
Stopped at the bread outlet and got a loaf of white bread…I almost never buy just plain white bread…(although this was so called “Canadian white bread"…I really don’t know why or what the difference is…but that’s besides the point)…I had a hankering for grilled cheese sandwiches…or I guess to be perfectly correct considering my method of cooking…pan fried cheese sandwiches…coffee and a few assorted relishes…
Worship team rehearsal tonight went great…we’ve added a couple of vocalists in the last few weeks…S who was sick tonight…a decent melody singer and G tonight…despite her lack of years ( like 15 or 16 ) has got an off the wall soprano voice…she and her dad sing with northcountry choral along with me and about 140 other voices…she will be a great addition but has little experience singing with small ensembles and needs to learn the fine art of blending with just a few voices…but I think she will work it out…
We’ve been working on a new song the last few weeks and the N-lady and I have been really working hard on a very close interweaving harmony…I think we’ve got it pretty well done…had a great laugh with keyboardist/descant soprano K…we tend to hear harmonies pretty much the same and on one we were singing virtually the same harmony only an octave apart…felt sorry for M tonight…she’s hurting…her hubby is deployed to Iraq and she isn’t not handling it very well…actually K and Kr hubby’s are due to deploy in a couple of months…will keep them and their respective hubbies in our prayers…

Monday, February 6, 2006

Winter has returned with a vengeance…I’m not sure how much snow we got today but it was too much…plus the wind that drove the snow into drifts even in the city…there are spots in my yard with no snow at all, and spots where the drifts are over 3 feet…best estimate on snow fall is somewhere between 15 and 18 inches…both commutes this day where nightmares…poor visibility this AM…and poor visibility and nasty road conditions this PM…cat smoky has been very cuddly again tonight…she obviously misses her “bud” lilly…(see below posts)…but how do you explain to a cat that her best bud is gone…died of tumor induced seizure… RPI you sweet little cat but you can’t explain that to another cat…h*ll you can explain it to me…d*mn…Nite all

Sunday, February 5, 2006

Winter seems to be back, it’s been blowing and snow most of the afternoon into evening… it was starting south of us when I made the hurried yet too late trip to the vets around 4 PM (see below)…(note: yes I am totally aware that this is my 3rd post of the day…unusual as of late but a stressful day and I tend to post often on such days)
Watched almost the entire super bowl…I needed a mindless release after the events of the afternoon and what’s more mindless then watching the super bowl…(if I don’t get an irate comment on that one…)
Had a late supper of pea soup…dang this pot gets better with age
Nite all
In order to understand this post you need to see the one below, cat smoky has been very cuddly tonight…she obviously doesn’t understand…she wonders where her bud lilly is…how do you tell a cat that her bud (also a cat) had a tumor and died of a seizure at about 5 years old…they used to sleep together in a ball and if they hadn’t been different colors it would have been hard to tell where one cat started and the other cat ended…aggie on the other hand…she and lilly fought constantly…whether she misses her enemy or not it’s hard to tell…but smoky is as confused as I am tonight…and we but obviously miss the departed lilly…
I have had a really bad day…I woke up in a very bad place on every level…but particularly physically…cold was worse and knees hurt bad…went to church for Sunday school only…just taught my adult CE class and left…was feeling better and then just before 4 PM decided to watch the final round of the golf tournament…cat lilly was sitting on her fav pillow in the living room but was down and acting strangely…I picked her up and she was definitely in trouble…had a seizure and passed out…and although I got her to the vets within 25 minutes it was too late…she was gone…d*mn…she apparently had a tumor just below her eye that I just hadn’t seen…vet found it almost immediately…I missed it…d*man…I don’t know if it would have made a difference but apparently it impinged on her brain or a vital nerve and she was gone…lilly was a rescue at about 18months and only weigh 28 ozs. … Vet said given that and the fact that she had a tumor…cancer at only about 5 years old suggest that she might have had feline leukemia as a kitten and although it was cured…cats with that history tend to early tumors…but as an ASPCA rescue they didn’t know…if I had know I would have checked that sweet thing every day…d*mn…I know it’s really not my fault but…d*mn…so I’m down to 2 cats…called the daughter and she said…”well you’ll probably be heading to the ASPCA this week…” and I replied…maybe in a month or so but not right away…d*mn
I may actually watch the super bowl…not that I really care about it but it will be the hot topic Monday morning at work so I should probably at least figure out who won and why…one of my ex-clerks was a huge Seahawks fan and I always used to tease him that it would be a cold day in h*ll before Seattle was in a super bowl much less had a chance to win one…through a mutually friend he sent me the message that he was ice skating in h*ll…the T-man at work is a huge Steelers fan…when I was in briefly at work this AM he was wearing his Steelers “hardhat”…oy vey…and despite the fact that my long gone and not missed ex was a Steelers fan…assuming I actually watch the game I probably will root for the Steelers…although really not a fan of any particular team…I did grow up in an AFC city…
I did the absolute minimum necessary at work today, there were a few optionals that on a normal Saturday I would have done…but was in a very bad place on every level this AM and just wanted to get the snot out of there…
Came home and wrote checks for the bills that had arrived this week…just wasn’t in the mood Thursday or Friday but although nothing was really “due” needed to just get it done…
Went out to mail the checks and stopped at dollar general…got a bar of sulfur-based soap…I just like the grit and the slightly arid smell…a microwave able quick meal…turkey and dressing…and some very neat candies…fruit gels with nuts and coated with confectioner’s sugar…one of my fav candies but haven’t see them about town in years…
Have just hung out the rest of the day…a late lunch of homemade pea soup and a hard roll …supper was some barbecued smoked sausage over noodles with an egg and olive sandwich…and another sandwich of the same kind for a late snack…very little tube today…nothing really on…but a lot of stronghold crusader…
It’s approaching the witching hour and I must to bed…can sleep in a tad tomorrow as I missed worship team rehearsal this week and we have a rule that if you miss you don’t sing…and I agree with it…I rarely miss a rehearsal or a service but to sleep in an extra hour and a half tomorrow isn’t going to hurt my feelings…
Have really struggled physically today…especially this evening…knees have been absolutely killing me…took a hot bath and it helped a little but not very much…will resort to the “hot” rub tonight and hopefully that will allow me to get to sleep…

Friday, February 3, 2006

Oh dang what a day, what a lousy day…I awoke to the alarm…I hate that…overnight the cold I have blossomed into full bloom…I awoke stuffed up feeling miserable…and every joint in my body aching…and if there was anyway I thought that I could have called in sick today and they (that is the plant I work for) could have covered for my absence I would have called in sick…but they couldn’t…so I couldn’t…I have over 35 years service…call it dedication…call it stupidity…call it what you want but I went in and managed to do the deed…
One thing I really hate…probably more then anything on the face of this earth is to have someone who has no real idea of what I do…and couldn’t “do the deed” with anything less then 5 people helping them…but they think that they can tell me how to do my job…dang…
So late in the day I’m loading 8 pallets on the truck for the ‘Cuse to be switched to another trailer for delivery down south…I hear a pop and a snap and I’m in big trouble…the lift hits the right wall of the trailer and I’m in big trouble…
My first instinct is to jump and run, and get the h*ll off the trailer but I remain calm, manage to drive the lift off and then go out side to check what had happened…the 4 support beams that the dollies rest on…(the drop down supports that hold a trailer up when a tractor is not underneath it) had twisted and buckled…I was fortunate that the trailer hadn’t twist completely and ended up on it’s side or broken in half…my guardian angels deserve hazardous duty pay on that one…
So at days end I was all in but needed to replace my mouse…just as I was getting ready to shut down last night my optic mouse died…no little red light…so ended up first at big lots…okay so I’m cheap but they didn’t have anything…and then to staples…got another optic mouse…with a adapter for either a USB port or the PS2 port…tried it in the USB port first…no joy…I needed the disc for the ME software that I don’t have…for what ever reason my Ex took it when she left me…why the heck I’ve never figured out because her computer ran XP…but fortunately it came with an adapter that would fit either the USB port or the PS2 port and plugged into the PS2 it’s “plug and play”…
Had a lite dinner of some leftovers and set a pot to boil with the fixing’ for pea soup…and a late supper of pea soup and buttered hard rolls…
I feel decent tonight…despite the fact that I have to make an appearance at work tomorrow…despite the fact that I might have to spend a half day there on a Saturday…I hate overtime…of which I already have 3 hours this week…mind you I love the extra money…but not withstanding …I hate working even 1 minute on the sixth day…that means no day this week without the alarm being set…of all of the inventions created on GD’s green earth I hate the alarm the most…I also hate cattle prods but that’s an entirely different story (hehe)

First episode of the new survivor series, and IMHO the worst, most stupid vote off of all time…they are in four tribes, 4 older men (including an ex-F14 pilot and an ex-astronaut), 4 younger men, 4 younger woman, and 4 older woman…well semi-predictably the older woman lost the first immunity challenge…now we got 3 more or less city girls and one country girl…heck the lady is a Lumber Jill, and the only real athlete of the bunch…so who do they vote off…you got it the athlete…they better hope for a merge or a twist pretty dang quick or they’re toast…oy vey
Work was well work…late as he was leaving boss stopped by my office…if you can call a 8’x8’ cubical with no ceiling and a conveyor belt running over it at office…I was scheduled to take Saturday off…I usually come in a few on Saturday to do the inventory dumps into the system…well he was like we still have to do the dumps in both systems…it was obvious he really wanted me to work but really didn’t want to ask me…so a volunteered…ah well he’s right…but I hate to admit it…
Cashed the paycheck, gassed the car, did my shopping, and some over do household chores…have been staring at the same pile of dishes in the sink for longer then I will admit…and said tonight I must do them…cut myself in the process in an awkward spot…on the base of my right pinky finger…dang I never thought I’d get it to stop bleeding…not a bad cut… just in a bad spot…need to write checks but nothing that can’t wait until the ‘morrow or even next week…and I’m kind of “blow out” tonight…
Nite all

This day with the closing of month end, and having to catch up all the data in both systems…I had fallen way behind on orders…so stayed over and got almost caught up to the minute…but am exhausted tonight…and the mind is non-functional…
