Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

I was thinking today about the Robert Frost poem "the road not taken"........and thinking back on my life when faced with a clear choice between two different paths......that is either,or........i just don't think that way.....there has to be another choice........something in  the middle......something that takes the best of both.....so generally i get out my proverbial compass and broad sword and hack my own path somewhere between the two more obvious options.....have i got lost from time to time in metaphorical swamps, thickets.....been assailed by ninja squirrel, attacked by bees armed with 20mm guns....and more then that i will not mention at this time..........however i have found more often then not a peaceful glade.....a place where i can see more clearly........has it always been easy.......no..........but has it been worth the quest......frankly I'll let you know when i reach the end..........but would i trade the obvious paths for the one I've taken...............no way........
