faure requiem is filling the room, along with the mozart requiem, and the bach b minor mass probably my 3 favorite choral works ( this week.....contents of the list and their order subject to change).......i was not real picky in choosing a cd of the bach and the mozart have heard serveral different recordings/treatments and like them all, however the faure i listened to serveral different recordings before i picked one. the difference is that i have never had the chance to sing either the bach or the mozart but have sung in the faure twice, i would not say that those performances were the equal of the pro recordings but hearing the music from the inside as it were gives you a totally different set of memories as how it should sound......i rarely watch a movie/tv show based on a book i've read........i more often then not end of hating the show because they rarely do the book justice. this also works in reverse, i watch the A&E series on the Hornblower saga, have all six video tapes, watched them over and over, then decided to buy and read the 11 volume set of Hornblower books .........i read and reread the books but rarely ever watch the videos anymore.....
