Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

A busy day but a really nice day, and a great food day, i never eat breakfast, well practically never and today was no exception, had a great nights sleep and since i had missed rehearsal this week for dad's 90th birthday was less involved in the services this morning, went to early service, and taught Sunday school and was gone. Was in the mood for pasta salad, but stopped to buy some things i lacked and got well something else i mention later..........tomatoes, red onion. cucumber, red bell pepper, balsamic vinegar, EVOO, cilantro, a bit of salt and pepper, your typical pasta salad with the exception that i replaced some of the vinegar with the juice of one whole lime............but despite the fact that i finished the salad around noon, never ate until 3 because i really need the salad to chill, and give the vinaigrette a chance to work

For supper made a simple pasta and sauce that I’ve made dozens of times but with a twist that really turned out great, angel hair pasta which I love, whole tomatoes, paste, onion, mushrooms, a bit of basil, a bit of crushed red pepper, a bit of hot sauce, some cilantro…….okay so I had it left over, but the real twist was I had found some ground veal on manager special and use that for the meat…absolutely awesome………dang best sauce I’ve ever made

  1. Yummy! Trollie, if you ever decide to give up your day job, you could make a fortune catering to families. The food you talk about making always makes me hungry, even after finishing a meal :) ! I think I'll have to try the angel hair pasta recipe later on this week. I've been thinking about a making a veal pasta dish and your recipe sounds delicious... I'll let you know how it turns out!
