mozart and coffee...i was more tired last night then i thought....went to bed about 10:30 and never woke up til 8:30........i'm so use to getting up at 6 on work days that i normally don't sleep much past that even when i can....it started raining about an hour ago so looks like golf is out for this afternoon....needed to pickup a few plants for one "hole" in the garden....so ran out to sonny's ghse which is just a few minutes north of town....really had very little hope that they would have want i wanted because being close to town they get picked over pretty quicky and it is late in the season....but i was trying to save a trip...no luck....so ran out to rhoades which i knew would still have a good selection....they are the biggest ghse in the area but are probably 15+miles outside past henderson habour....(at the mouth of black river bay and lake ontario)....but as i cut the back way between the two discovered that garage sale season is in full swing up here....i never stop at garage sales...unless of course i can see golfclubs leaning up against a table....but anyway have you ever noticed that every woman going to a garage sale wears a fanny pack and all look the same....actually most wear the fanny pack in front so i wonder why they don't call them belly bags or gut gadgets.....oh on second thought maybe i do understand..but i digress........even rhoades was picked over especially the perennels but found some nice daisies that look good it the spot i had open......came back in to town on route 3 which runs right thru the major shopping area and stopped at lowes and wally's....thought i might get another shubbery.....you really need to know what your doing to buy any plants from those type of places....one had 2 different sizes of holly........in the small size all they had was blue prince and in the large size all the had was blue princess....(i'd like to make a comment on the princess being larger then the prince but will refrain)......but if someone only bought based on size they will be sadly disappointed with the result......because blue holly is one of those plants that in order for there to be fruit ( those cute little red berries) you need not only the princess but also the prince.....ah sex in the flower beds.....maybe i'll post a picture to picpost with the prince and princess copulating...i've had blue holly for a couple of years now and when i planted, have one bush of blue prince flanked by a princess on either side....the prince is probably henpecked but the results have been quite good.....i love holly because it holds it's green color all year........so i was in the mood for an order of onion petals from arby's....but as i drive thru "fast food alley".......i discovered that charity car wash season was also in full swing....and they had one at arby's....i hate going into places with those things going on......trollie " no i don't what my car washed" ..."yes i know it's dirty"..."i like my dirt"....."get off my d*mn car you snot nose kid".......although i almost made an exception this time because it was in benefit of the local high school cheerleaders........ah........( dirty olde trollie remarks edited out)..........
