Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

got up just a little after 8 , didn't sleep quite as well last night as i have been but felt good this morning, got right out and went out to play golf, forecast was for rain this afternoon, and hot and humid so i figured if i got out early it would be better, the course i played is just abit from the lake so there was a nice breeze and was a lot of fun......
toward evening it just rained cats and dogs with heavy thunder and lightening but has cleared a bit now but is still quite humid....i feel good....i feel rested....i needed the time away from work....still have about 3+ weeks to take but i think i'll wait until this fall......maybe take a bit of a trip.....i'd like to return to gettysburg...spent about a week there a little over two years ago and just scratched the surface of what i'd like to see.....it's about a 6 hour drive south of here so not something you can do as a day trip......have given some thought to someday moving a bit further south, southern Pa or maryland to get out of the worst of the winter, but as virtually my whole family lives in the watertown area probably never will......if you follow this http://troll54ny.tripod.com/trollsattic2/index.html link you'll find pics i took on my first trip to the battlefield
