Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

twas another nasty cold day in old watertown today......-24*F with a wind chill of -40*F.....but fortunately i had very little to do at the warehouse today so stayed reasonably warm........it's "only" predicted to get to -15*F tonight and then "warn" up to +20's F tomorrow........it will probably feel warm enough to wear shorts (hehe).......
a very weird last day of the month, not much happening, although a whole lot of things got shoved into next week, production is not working this weekend but i need to go in for a while tomorrow to get final month end numbers into the system and finish month end inventory.....but i'll be off sunday......
couldn't decide what to have for dinner, thought about having one of the NY strips i had in the freezer but forgot to get it out to thaw this morning, stopped on the way home for salad fixings and freezer bags and got some eye round steaks, with the intent to have them for supper but as i drove by the take out seafood place i could hear a 1/2 pound of shrimp, a 1/2 pound of scallops and a pound of potato salad calling my name....i mean what was i to do........( the steak will keep until tomorrow.......
although i went to bed early last night i really didn't get a good nights sleep and awoke very sore and stiff.......and i'm still quite tired......the cold really takes it out of me......and i plan for an early night tonight...........if i can pry the cats off the fleece on my bed long enough to get in.......
