apparently the spyware/adware problem at work was not totally to blame for the problem, apparently there was a bug in a service pack they downloaded, and it's messed up some of the user profiles....but i'm ok so got everything back up to date........have the PM off, and probably tomorrow as well....
clerk is off next week, but production is on shutdown so shouldn't prove to be too bad........more later
