Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

a typical busy sunday morning but no involvement in the evening services so i passed, i have a cat pawing at me for attention so there will be a brief pause......lilly is now well petted to hopefully she and her two evil step-sisters will leave me alone long enough to finish this post....
i spent most of the afternoon channel surfing....between the pga and the nascar race.....i don't always watch the nascar but i enjoy the road course races and there is a bit of local interest because watkins glen is just a few hours away...
spent the early evening watching the 2nd lord of the ring movie on cable...have seen it once already but really wanted to watch it the second time because it is bit disjointed and confusing to keep track of......
i think i will probably rent the 3rd one here in a bit just to see the end.....i rarely go to see movie...in fact the last movie i saw in the theater was the original star trek movie, and seldom rent, but will make an exception in this case......
i grew up in a church where attendance at movies was forbidden, and although i never really accepted that nor do i now, i just never got in the habit of going to movies......and see no real reason to start now.....in the day of dvds, vcrs and cable.......
