well it was a very nice day today weather wise, not too hot, not too cool, and not humid......IT worked most of the morning and finally removed all the problems caused by the spyware/adware that got downloaded into the system on friday...but with that in mind i decided that i needed to do something about the spywarre/adware deal on my home machine..
my first stop was downloading the yahoo tool bar, which has as an option spyware scan....it checks memory and register but only checks common locations otherwise, there is a cookie option which i have tried yet but the basic sweep only takes about 90 secs.....probably because i went to stop 2, i downloaded the free version of spysweep (you can find it at www.webroot.com), now if you run that it takes the time it would take for you to eat a quiet meal, and i did, but it found things the yahoo deal didn't and also has the option of scanning continually while your on line, and prevention is better then a cure, but will probably leave both programs running.....
