Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

had a great night's sleep and just kicked around this morning....a little laundry....a little surfing the web and a little watching of a monster garage marathon on discovery.....had the last of the stew for lunch and decided to go out a get something else to throw in the pop.....well 3 stores later the plans for dinner where changed....there is a store that sell good new york state chedder the old way....there's a piece of bulk cheese under a glass cover and you buy it the size you want and they hand cut it from the block.....got about a half pound of sharp ( and to be honest all of it didn't get home...never does....can never resist the temptation to sample abit on the way home )......decided to do the weekly grocery thing and the store i shop at had just taken the italian bread out of the oven...it was still warm....all that did it....and supper became open faced broiled cheese sandwiches and fresh made onion soup......lovely......the making of the stew can wait until tomorrow......
got home and discovered a message from work on the machine.....no big deal.....one phone call and it was handled.....i don't think i've ever had a vacation without at least one call from work.....but on the first day seems to be a bad omen.......
