Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

i did it again, i told myself this year i was going to take the entire three day weekend and just pick at getting the gardening done rather then go like an idiot and finish it in one day and really tire myself out.........well i'm dead tired and the flower beds are all done..........dang i'm pathetic.....
got a couple of new stock plants, basically what i wanted, and some bedding plants for a couple of pots on have one the front steps........couldn't find what i really wanted for the pots but what i got will look fine.........and never actually plant the pots the same two years in a row and most times it's just a choice of whim......only real difficulty i had as trying to match the lava rock i used last year for the one bed that i have planted with ornamental evergreens......i need some more anyhow and was expanding the bed......well not really extending but removed the birdbath and the annuals and added a small evergreen.......rats......nobody had red lava rocks this year........solved the problem by spreading the lava rocks i had thin on the bottom and toping with some plain red stone.......color is pretty close and you really can't tell the diff........
