Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

it's been a good day, a physically exhausting day doing the spring gardening but a good day none the less......as i get older the physical work involved in getting the garden into shape each spring becomes progressively more difficult but i love the result.........made the mistake of going out to sonny's nursery.......after i was finished ( of course that assumes the fact that my garden is never really finished ) and they have a selection this year of ornamental grasses, two of which i must find a way to incorporate in my garden, i've batted about two or three different ideas and have not as of yet come to a conclusion but i must have them in my garden..........neat thing about sonny's is that it is one of the local nurseries that uses the products made by the irrigation company i work for.........
i watched the first part of iron chef america with cat aggie and the second part with cat smokey....of course in the second part i was snacking on good swiss cheese which i believe smokey loves more then i do........and lilly how can i forget......lilly's favorite spot in the whole house is on top of my favorite chair........
i had seen the iron chef episode before but it is one of my all time favorites.......first it has iron chef batali in it...i love not only the italian style that he uses but he is very whimsical in his cooking and second the episodes secret ingredient was cheese...........awesome......
