Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

so i'm sitting there watching iron chef america, a little stilton cheese for a snack and a cat on my lap.......depending on the exact time either smokey or lilly....and there's an ad for microwave kraft macaroni and cheese.......with the queen of the night aria from mozart's magic flute as the background music......first thought is what in the sam hill was the ad man thinking of when he picked that, and second despite mozart's well documented sense of humor he must be spinning in his grave at mach 3..........of course the music is in the public domain but oy vey.......don't get me wrong i love that aria...but an ad for mac and cheese.....you got to be kidding.......
one of the movie channels has been playing tombstone......has to been the 1000th remake of the gun fight at the ok corral......well maybe not the 1000th but you get the point.......not badly done.....maybe the best of the lot....if you like westerns....but val kilmer as doc holiday....brilliant.......whether or not an accurate historical presentation of the man ......well i'm no expert on old west in general or doc holiday in particular but kilmer's doc is the only reason i would re-watch the flick..............
