Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

it's only 41*F, but feels much warmer, sun is out and a beautiful spring day....it's about time.....winter has been a rough one this year...i've lived basically my entire life in the lee of either Lake Erie or Lake Ontario, and have know colder and snowier winters but can never remember a longer one....with almost no thaws.....but perhaps age is a factor in my thoughts...i just don't tolerate the cold as well as i once did...both physically as well as mentally.......i intend to spend the afternoon glued to the coverage of the masters........i found this article of extreme interest..Plan for democracy in Iraq may be folly
Experts also question U.S. ability to reform entire Middle East
, the basis for the arguement of the article is that there is a lack of key elements in the middle east in general and iraq in particular for the setting up of a democratic government, it's an interesting and thought provoking article, whether you agree with it's conclusions or not
