Been an interesting day…cold this morning only 5*F as opposed to a 50*F+ day just two days ago…dang winter in the northcountry can be weird…worship team in first service went…well decent…voice still hadn’t recovered from the night’s sleep…lets face it singing at 8:30 AM should be a thing a 58 year old man should avoid…Christian Ed. Class went great…and second service worship team went very well despite the fact that at the last minute we subbed in our “2^nd string” bass player…his mom does the lead treble vocals…

Daughter had called earlier in the week, hubby was going to be gone today and wondered if we could “do lunch”…like I’m going to refuse…ended up at a local eatery called the Partridge Berry Inn…I have eaten there numerous times…but never off the menu…I have been there for several vendor/church catered events…and several times for the Sunday Brunch…but never off the menu…the brunch as always was wonderful…fresh salads…traditional breakfast fare...seafood…et al…but I crashed out this afternoon…ate way too richly for brunch…although the daughter must have been in worse shape then 1…they had mussels steamed in a wine broth…she must have had 50+ of those succulent little devils…even as a kid…5 or 6 years old mussels have always been her absolute fav shellfish…but was a lovely time…good food…forget that…great food…and great company…she’s applied for a new job…she teaches and her current job has turned into a problem…not the kids but the admin., and the board of ed….she’s applied to a closer school…and a larger district…hope it works out for her…she has had a rough year on many fronts…and she deserves better…

Watched the movie “Van Helsing” today…okay so pure “camp”…but the visuals were amazing…but I hate the ending…I had hope that the male and female leads would ride off into the sunset (okay so I’m an incurable romantic)…but they kill the female lead off…what a bunch of sh*t…I really hate the macho flick were the male survives the finally encounter with “evil” but the lady is destroyed…bullsh*t…

Shocked as h*ll that Pittsburgh beat Indy in the playoffs…the T-man at work who is a diehard Steelers fan has got to be flying high…watched the “Cuse beat Cinncy in big east b-ball…G-Mac had an off the wall game…I’ve followed the ‘Cuse for years…first of all it’s the closed DI b-ball program…and secondly my daughter is an alum..
