Watertown, NY, USA . "Public Square" (vintage, date unknown) but the monument is honoring veterans of the American Civil War so the date of the image is late 1800s

I’ve spent a bit of time today watching the Solheim Cup, which is a team golf match between pro golfers (ladies that is) from the USA and Europe…….the format is based on the Ryder Cup matches that where original between USA male pros and UK pros, but when It got a little one sided, it was expanded to include all golf pros from Europe ( and there is the President Cup matches that pits USA male pros against the rest of the world pros –Europe). Truth be told if you consider the number of golf courses in the USA, and the number of players an international in golf. As in an international in football (soccer in the USA) would be a walk over………golf is just to big in the USA for any one country to field a 12 man/woman team to compete with a USA team.
But It’s been a delight to watch. Tied 8 apiece going into the 12 singles matches tomorrow…….. The match that features Kerr and Creamer from the USA especially intrigued me. Not only was it the “babe” match up, both are very fine looking young ladies, and Paula Creamer is a rookie on the LPGA tour, who qualified for the cup in a half year of play, she’s won three times this year, and her first win was the week before she graduated from high school, and yet plays like a vet. She is both impressive to the level of skill in the game she possess and to the eye, a fine looking lady and an awesome player.
